В сети Grin состоялся первый запланированный хардфорк. Обновление является обратно несовместимым и направлено на повышение децентрализации майнинга.
В результате хардфорка разделения сети на две отдельные цепи не произошло. Вместо этого старая цепь попросту перестала работать, и это означает, что всем пользователям необходимо обновить программное обеспечение.
Это было запланировано еще до запуска Grin. Для активации новых функций мы планировали провести четыре хардфорка в первые два года с интервалом в каждые шесть месяцев - разработчик Grin Джон Тромп
