Overall the map is pretty good. It's easy for a single player game. It would be good to strengthen the AI ​​players and diversify their tactics. Sometimes the AI ​​tactics were very trying: implosion/chain lightning, run away.
I guess for playing with friends the map is just fantastic. The landscapes are pleasing to the eye, look beautiful and original!

You are absolutely right, but i think, that the main problem is not that the difficulty doesnt scale well, but that the map is way too big and way too complex for the AI to beat you. You are never in real danger of losing. I tried a lot of things to make this work, but nothing made it better. So in the end, i accepted it and my conclusion is this: you dont lose this map, if you lose all your troops and towns, but if you aren't fast enough to gather all the troops (with diplomacy/cloak/horn) from the map and pandora boxes as soon as possible (or before the AI does), or you possibly couldnt win the last fight. I think, if there will ever be an update to this map, that will be a lose condition if a certain time expires. Maybe 10 months.

AI puts up a good fight - A Beautiful World
I enjoyed the bounteous world. I spent 100 resources and 200 wood to get 50000 cash in month 3, but it was worth it. It's also fun to have the ocean so populated with treasure since a lot of worlds have none or the enemies get it first.

I really like that you only get one boat and one pair of water walking boots to start and have to figure out how to use them best.

Loved how the quest that asked for four Hydras was actually worth it despite taking your best units.

I think I also saw a quest reward that was giving the missing piece of a combo artifact where you already have the other two pieces, which is a cool idea.

The difficulty curve was very smooth and nice – I was never just sitting around blocked by hard battles, but I often had to choose to lose a few units to keep progressing fast. I decided not to use Town Portal for gathering units or defending cities and that made the end game more fun -- the AI took my capitol once and kicked me out of an area I'd conquered.

I didn't actually finish since Cartographer lets you know exactly how it will go, but it was fun. Too bad there are only two maps by this author. ...

pickaxe questline - Rise of an Empire of Heroes 3.0
Hey i am very excited that you like the map, i gave my best into it :)
So for the pickaxe to be available to start you need to have completed a couple of things. Namely:
- Aquire the first hero Tasha kin`Tzixar
- Visit the quest hut of Exalomor the Efreet in the Middle continent RIGHT shore. it is about the first quarter of the top part of the continent.
- Go to underground through the tunnel what is in the Tasha questline aswell. Right bottom of the map. almost next to the Right coninent bottom shore.
-Find the quest hut there. Hint: An efreet is stuck in a lava pool next to it. it should be almost visible when you enter Underground there
- Help the Efreet and finish his quest. Its an easy and a short one.
-Be happy about your newly aquired Pickaxe, and start to upgrade it with following the questline. ...
