• The bill aligns with constitutional principles, as Article I, Section 10 of the U.S. Constitution states that only gold and silver can be legal tender for debts.
- If passed by the Senate on April 24, 2025, HB 999 would allow Floridians to use gold and silver for transactions
- this bill aims to reduce reliance on federal currency and protect against economic instability.
- Why is it Significant?
This bill could set a MAJOR precedent for other states, challenging the dominance of the U.S. dollar and promoting alternative currencies rooted in constitutional law.
