This is on the ground information from the city of Wuhan: not all of China is following the same plan, so the following may not apply for other cities/provinces:
At-home quarantine is now permitted for Wuhan residents (including foreigners). Free medicine is provided, and the quarantine at home is set at 3 days. Following 3-day self quarantine, you can leave the apartment to test. If negative, you may leave and continue your life as normal. If positive, the three-day lockdown starts again, until a negative test is received.

Collectively, our results suggest that the progenitor of Omicron jumped from humans to mice, rapidly accumulated mutations conducive to infecting that host, then jumped back into humans, indicating an inter-species evolutionary trajectory for the Omicron outbreak.
