Dear followers, friends, and commissioners,
First and foremost, I want to apologize for my absence from social media. A lot has been happening in my life recently, and the stress has led me to take some time offline to focus on my health and spend more time with my family.
For those who have been following me for a while, you might know that over the past few months, I’ve been dealing with health issues and a few unexpected surprises. Recently, I was finally diagnosed with endometriosis.
What is Endometriosis?
Endometriosis is a painful condition where tissue similar to the lining inside the uterus grows outside the uterus. This tissue can be found on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and the tissue lining the pelvis. It causes severe pain, especially during menstrual periods, and can lead to fertility problems.
Endometriosis explains everything I have been experiencing for months, and I am relieved to have a diagnosis. Many women suffer for decades without knowing what is wrong, enduring pain and sadness. Diagnosing endometriosis is challenging because doctors often dismiss period pain as “normal.”
After months of being prescribed stronger and stronger painkillers, which led to me taking a handful of pills just to function, my doctor suggested I try getting pregnant to reduce the pain. That’s when I realized it was time to change doctors, and thank goodness I did.
Endometriosis is considered one of the 20 most painful health conditions. Currently, I am on medication for pain and have started hormone therapy that will hopefully help me manage it, but these are only short-term solutions. The treatment has already taken a toll on me; I have lost 7 kg in less than two weeks, mostly muscle mass, leaving me weak.
Endometriosis can lead to the removal of all reproductive organs, and I want to have a family one day. The only option that can potentially rid me of this condition for good is surgery.
Surgery Details
The surgery can be performed in Greece and costs €10,000, plus additional expenses. My Health Insurance Commission has approved coverage for 30% of the surgery, leaving me with €7,000 to raise. Extra costs will be covered by my family and friends, who have already gathered over €3,000 to cover previous and future scans, tests, and therapy.
From now on, all money from my art commissions will go towards the surgery fund. I will reopen Pay What You Wish commissions, and they will remain open for a while.
I hope for your patience as I know I am behind on my schedule. I will be working hard to catch up on my commissions.
I also ask for your support in raising funds for my surgery by commissioning art from me, if you wish, and sharing my work with friends who might be interested. Your help will bring me closer to having a family one day.
I will also keep you updated through my journal and Ko-Fi page on how much has been gathered for the surgery fund. Every bit of support, whether through commissioning art or spreading the word, means the world to me.

I wanted to let you know that my dear grandmother has passed away. This has been a deeply emotional time for me, and I needed to take a break to process and grieve.
I will be returning to my art and commissions soon. Thank you all for your understanding and support during this period.

Friends, sorry I’ve been off for a bit again, but I have some great news!
I’ve been approved for a credit loan for my surgery, and I’ve completed my first test related to it. The surgery is likely to be scheduled for mid-February, with a couple more check-ups before then.
With everything sorted out, I’m now free from any distractions or stress related to this matter until the surgery. I can finally focus on my art without any interruptions.
Thank you all for your patience. I’m ready to dive back into my art, and will be updating everyone on progress from Monday! :3

Dear friends,
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and a happy New Year! 🎉
The end of last year brought some unexpected challenges for me. I had a significant medical emergency that required another surgery, which delayed my planned endometriosis surgery in February. After discussing with my doctor, we decided to combine both surgeries for better results. I traveled to Greece for the procedures, and although they had to remove one of my ovaries due to severe damage, the surgeries were successful! My first post-surgery check-up went well, and I'm relieved to share that this won't affect my ability to have children in the future.
I'm currently still in the hospital but hope to fly home on Monday. I'll be staying with my family for a while as I recover. For those waiting on art from me, I appreciate your patience. I'll be focusing on my art while I rest, as I will be chained to bed with my tablet heh, so expect lots of new creations soon!
Thank you to everyone who supported me by ordering art. Your support means the world to me and has helped me start this new year with a positive outlook, knowing I'm on the path to recovery.
I apologize for the recent silence as I was heavily medicated and resting. I'll be more active on social media to catch up with everyone. Here's to a joyful and creative year ahead!
Love,
Luna 💖
