Образ Георгия Победоносца неразрывно связан с воинской отвагой и защитой невинных. Его почитают как небесного заступника воинов, земледельцев и путешественников. Во многих странах мира, особенно в христианских, святой Георгий является олицетворением мужества, верности и непоколебимой веры. Его лик украшает знамена, гербы и монеты, напоминая о вечной борьбе между добром и злом.

Примечательно, что Пасха 1945 года совпала с 6 мая, днем памяти Георгия Победоносца.
