Effective immediately, Lightingale Community will stop all updates on GitLab. Existing repositories will be kept. We'll continue to update our mirrors on Codeberg and GitHub in the meantime.
GitLab will require you to verify via phone number or credit card, if they consider your registration application to be "suspicious". As we at Lightingale do not tolerate privacy breaching acts like this, we will leave GitLab until resolved.

Lightingale Community proudly presents... Cheer Dips!

Following the recent xz-utils incident, it's becoming increasingly evident to us that FLOSS may no longer be a sustainable option. As such, we decided to pivot our focus to the snack business instead. And what could be better than some crispy and tasty Cheer Dips?
Introducing Cheer Dips, a crispy treat granting you an experience you will never forget!

Disclaimer: No deers were harmed in the production of Cheer Dips.
We have updated our list of offered IM services and bridging services. Read more at: https://kb.ltgc.cc/matrix/
Are you relying on our content encoding guidelines for recommendation? After multiple tests made across several days, we have updated our guidelines in terms of rasterized images (lossy still, lossless still and lossy animated), audio (lossless) and compression (web and bundle).
Notable changes:
* Added AVIF and Zstd
* Improved JPEG XL, WebP, FLAC

Due to a critical failure on our traditional internal network, we've suffered a serious downtime on certain parts of our infrastructure, including the Matrix services which are heavily reliant on the traditional internal network. It's very likely that a portion of messages sent between 10:30 7 Aug and 12:00 8 Aug (UTC +0) were lost, and we could do nothing but to offer our apology.
While currently being the most stable, our traditional internal network is extremely prone to single points of failure. We do have a meshed internal network without such weakness, and is better in terms of data throughput and latency, but it suffers from complications in dual-stack networking.
We're planning to eliminate the major pain points with our meshed network implementation, then switch the majority of our services to the meshed internal networking instead to prevent similar future incidents from happening again.
Thanks to an anonymous donation, we will be able to migrate our Matrix homeserver infrastructure in the next few days. All Matrix services offered by us may experience hours of downtime, due to the need of transferring a few hundred gigabytes of data. We apologize for the inconvenience in advance, but hopefully we can begin offering a much smoother experience on Matrix soon!
Cloudflare is refusing to connect to the clearnet access point of Lavender right now for unknown reasons. We may switch to another access point to try bypassing the issue.
Due to a critical bug affecting the SysEx processing flow (#55), Octavia is planned to have a major rewrite. The rewrite may happen at any time once version 0.5.2 is fully released.
If you're accessing the online version, it is advised to use the stable branch instead in case of a massive break. If you can see the address bar already at /octavia-stable/ or you're running a local development build, ignore the warning.
