#PSA 📢 Since the opening of the Thomson-East Coast Line Stage 3 (#TEL3) last year, the average weekday ridership on TEL has almost tripled from 60,000 in Oct 2022 to 177,000 in Oct 2023!

With more commuters using TEL3 (hello shorter travelling time! ), the overall ridership for some bus services 🚌 plying along TEL segments has ⬇️ by ~30-40%. #ChangingTravelPatterns

To reduce duplication of bus services with TEL and to reallocate finite resources to better serve residents from new estates 🏡👪, some bus services will be adjusted from 🗓️10 Dec 2023.

Check out our visuals for more details.
#PSA 📢 Heading to Woodlands MRT station on 30 Nov 2023?

Do note that we will be conducting Exercise Station Guard – an emergency preparedness exercise – from 10am to 4pm on the 🔴 #NSL and 🟤 #TEL.

During the exercise, commuters will be directed towards the #NSL and #TEL fare gates near Exits 3 and 4 respectively. You may be asked to go through metal detector checks and have your belongings scanned by X-ray machines.

💡 #TravelTip Factor in additional time 🕰 for your journey and avoid bringing bulky items since these may require more time to clear security checks.

#PSA Exciting news for West Coast residents! You can look forward to reducing your travel time to Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park 2 by 40min when the Cross Island Line Phase 2 (#CRL2) is operational in 2032! 🤩

We’ve awarded the contract for the design and construction of CRL2 West Coast station and tunnels to Gamuda Berhad Singapore Branch. 🥳🚇 Construction works are expected to start in the first quarter of 2024. 🚧

#FunFact With almost half of its stations as interchanges with other rail lines, CRL will connect those living in western Singapore to major hubs such as #JurongLakeDistrict, #PunggolDigitalDistrict, and the #Changi region!
#PSA The EV Charging Act (#EVCA) will commence on 8 Dec 2023 to regulate the safe charging of #EVs, ensure the provision of reliable EV charging services, and expand the network of accessible charging infrastructure in Singapore. 🚗⚡️

With the EVCA, you can look forward to:
🔌 Charging your vehicles with greater peace of mind knowing that any charger you use is LTA-approved;
📈 Greater reliability and uptime when using public chargers; and
🏢 Having more EV chargers in developments across the island

Learn more about the EVCA and how to register your #EV chargers above! #PowerEVeryMove
#PSA We will be piloting a new wayfinding system in the Central Area and Yishun from Dec 2023!

🪧🚴🏼‍♂️🚶🏾‍♀️The new signage system will help pedestrians and cyclists find their way to key landmarks and destinations in these areas.

If this pilot is a success, this system will support the Island-wide Cycling Network and be integrated as a feature of Friendly Streets.

👀 Check out the visual for more details on the new system! 😎
