- We see that the other three Yamazaki executives are also there.

- Jinyoung, Tom, and Elite try to fight their way out, but they are instantly overwhelmed by the three executives.

- Baekho arrives and becomes enraged after seeing Gapryong.

- He fights through the surrounding fodders, picks up Gapryong, and tries to escape with him.

- Baekho takes heavy damage while fighting through the executive forces, with several swords piercing his chest.

- Despite his injuries, he continues pushing through the hordes of fodders.

- Eventually Baekho reaches a dead end and finds Shingen standing in his way.

- Shingen is about to finish them off when a sword suddenly slashes across his chest.

- It was Bang Ho Lee, who now stands face to face with Shingen

Bang Ho Lee was able to scar Shingen's chest, probably doing more damage than the Fist Gang combined.

And if Shingen beats Bang Ho Lee too, this gauntlet is going to get even crazier.

I believe the “Holder of Hwarang” is actually stronger than this version of Gapryong, and Bang Ho's sacrifice could be what inspires Gapryong going forward.

It also feels similar to Gitae, you can see the similarity through the panels.

(This arc has really turned Charles into a bum. You couldn’t have imagined even 20 chapters back that Elite would get mopped like this)

The usual narrative was that he was one of the strongest fighters in Gen 0, while also being the smartest, most manipulative, and cunning one. He was portrayed as someone who could give Gapryong a serious fight, or at least sit just below the Shingen/Gapryong level.

He was even considered the ultimate final boss, the guy who would eventually make his comeback, with everything that happened supposedly being part of his plan.

But in the flashback, he’s not just lacking as a fighter. He seems completely out of control. He doesn’t appear to have any idea what’s happening, and he doesn’t even resemble the calculated Charles we knew.

That said, I still think he eventually becomes the person we saw in the present.

We know he married Eunha and had a child, but something happened to her. Then his downfall began, and we eventually saw him working as a janitor in prison when he met Gun. He clearly seemed to be looking for an opportunity to get revenge or start something.

Even with his portrayal being in the mud right now, we can’t completely write him off. He knows the truth behind the Second Body, and there’s still the possibility that he could somehow return. As Jinyoung said, “That person couldn’t have died.” James and Gitae didn’t even begin their plans until Charles was gone

So based on everything that’s already been established, I don’t think we can completely doubt the Charles we saw later, even if he is an absolutely a bum in this arc.

— Throwback to when Cheonliang James was compared to TUI Gun, with Gapryong and Mujin sometimes thrown into it

(It’s not even ironic, it’s just funny how
a fandom was genuinely delusional about it)

The statement was pretty straightforward: James was saying that his Cheonliang version wouldn’t have been able to keep up with them (TUI Gun and UI Daniel). Somehow, that got twisted into the idea that his 3T version was relative to TUI Gun, and that current James would have no difficulty with them at all.
