❗️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Massive Drone Raid on Crimea

During the night, Ukrainian forces launched a drone attack on the Crimean peninsula. It was reported that at least 36 unidentified UAVs were launched from the outskirts of the Odessa region.

The combined efforts of the 31st Air Force and Air Defense divisions resulted in the destruction of five drones in the northwestern part of Crimea. Additionally, a Su-30SM fighter from the naval aviation of the Black Sea Fleet intercepted and shot down one drone over Yevpatoria.

As the drones approached Crimea, electronic warfare units successfully suppressed 30 of them. Consequently, the attack by the Ukrainian forces did not achieve its intended goal.

🔻It has been over a month since the last massive drone attack, with the previous occurrence on September 21. This gap in attacks was due to difficulties in procuring commercial Mugin-5 PRO UAVs, as the Chinese authorities imposed restrictions.

The scarcity of these drones has limited the ability of the AFU to carry out mass launches across Crimea with the same frequency as before. This interruption in attacks suggests that Ukrainian forces needed time to accumulate more drones.

It is worth noting that previous drone raids were often followed by attempts from the AFU to launch missile strikes on the peninsula. Therefore, the night-time drone launch indicates the possibility of a resumption of combined attacks in Crimea in the near future.

❗️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Regarding the defense against a missile attack on Sevastopol

Just a few hours ago, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched a total of eight cruise missiles, specifically Storm Shadow/SCALP missiles, towards Sevastopol. One Su-24M aircraft from the airfield in Starokonstantinov and three Su-27 aircraft from the Mirgorod airfield were responsible for this attack.

However, it wasn't just the Storm Shadow missiles that were launched. Two Neptune anti-ship missiles were also fired from the Odessa region, while three unidentified UAVs provided target designation while flying over the city.

❗️Thankfully, the crews of the 31st Air Force and Air Defense Division, utilizing the S-400 and Pantsir-S1 air defense missile systems, successfully shot down all eight cruise missiles, two Neptunes, and three drones. This took place over the coastal waters of the Black Sea, specifically in Sevastopol Bay and the Mekenzi Mountains. Unfortunately, some debris caused damage to private infrastructure.

🔻Based on the flight's geography, it appears that the Ukrainian forces attempted to target an ammunition depot, a Black Sea Fleet base, and a ship repair plant in the Inkerman area. It is worth noting the deliberate combination of targets to complicate the work of air defense.

Another interesting aspect is the utilization of Su-27 aircraft, which have also been upgraded to carry cruise missiles. This decision was made due to the heavy workload on the Su-24M aircraft and their limited availability (there were no more than 10-12 operational copies remaining in the summer, and likely even fewer now, considering the recent operation).

❗️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Repelled missile attack on Crimea and suppressing Ukraine's Air Force

It has been revealed that the morning attempt to strike Crimea with Neptune anti-ship missiles and the subsequent attack on Strelkovoy were not the only incidents of the day.

🔻Almost simultaneously with the missile raid on the Kherson region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) made another attempt to target Sevastopol with three Neptunes between 11:10 and 12:04, bringing the total number to five for the day.

It appears that the objective of the anti-ship complex was to strike Black Sea Fleet ships and warehouses containing supplies. However, all the missiles were successfully destroyed by naval aviation fighters, specifically the Su-27SM and Su-27P, located 40-90 km northwest of Sevastopol.

🔻Simultaneously, a MiG-31BM fighter from the Black Sea Fleet took off from the Belbek airfield. Its on-board radar detected and targeted two tactical aircraft belonging to the Ukrainian Air Force, effectively neutralizing them with guided missiles.

Although the exact type of aircraft is unknown, there is a high likelihood that they were either MiG-29 or Su-27. The combined effectiveness of the MiG-31, S-400, and A-50 is proving increasingly successful, raising hopes for a more proactive response against Storm Shadow cruise missile carriers.
