The most important terms of the contract between the Syrian Ports Authority and the French company, CMA:
📌 The contract will extend for 30 years, and the agreement includes the development and operation of Latakia port costing 230 million euros.
📌 In the first year, the company will pay 30 million euros and on the following four years, 200 million euros will be follow.
📌 The quay will be one and a half kilometers long and 17 meters deep.
📌 The new equipment will allow large ships to enter the port and the new development will allow the entry of a large number of containers.
📌 The advantages of the contract will begin after 5 years of preparing the infrastructure and reconfiguring the port.
