Today was our 12th wedding anniversary. To celebrate, we went to the cinema to see The Chosen (the first two episodes of season five), and to have lunch.
That series is so well created. It's (mostly) biblical. It's well written, beautifully cast, the mise en scene is mindful and intentional. I was surprised to hear it was crowdfunded! Do recommend 👍👍

One of my coaching clients this month discovered that freedom isn't "do what you want".
She said yes to every art opportunity, paid or otherwise. In addition to the art se has to produce for a July exhibition.
She travelled instead of working.
She didn't have a backup.
She didn't book ANY revenue in April. And panicked.
The truth is, freedom isn't "do what you want".
Imagine if you were free to do whatever you want in society. There would be a lot of hurt and sad people. And people in JAIL.
When you just do whatever you want, you end up in jail anyway: A jail built of anxiety, depression, panic.
Like my client. 😅
Freedom occurs as a result of discipline.
Too many people believe that discipline means "complying with other people's rules".
It doesn't. It means, have your OWN rules. Or, better, follow God's rules.
Too many folk out there think freedom is the absence of rule, absence of code.
Freelancers believe that freedom is working how and whenever they like. It isn't. It's choosing your pattern and then working the pattern.
There's a reason why Navy SEALs say discipline is freedom.
Because it IS.
