Yes, in the end, Winners and Losers are decided by Price performance, not by fundamentals or tech. Price performance above everything! Price is the tech. Value is measured in Price/Market Cap.
Price charts are Hype charts. Price is correlated to Hype. Having a great product doesn’t correlate to Price growth (or the competence in running a successful business).
Bitcoin was unkown in 2009. Price is the most important metric. People started hearing about Bitcoin because of its parabolic price increase. Even the talk surrounding the halving every 4 years is ultimately about the Price.
The greatest advertisement for a coin is when its Price goes up. That's what gets attention and marketing is all about capturing attention. All eyes are on CMC. Nobody would have heard of Bitcoin if its price had remained similar to a penny stock.
What is publicly traded on exchanges are not coins but Beliefs. The Price of a coin is the measure of the strength of a Belief. The bigger the News, the stronger the Belief.
Crypto is all about the Price chart, which is a function of Pumpamentals. It's a Popularity contest driven by speculator network effects. The value of Cardano at $100 billion has nothing to do with fundamentals or tech.
