This is a good moment to repost this.
An acrylic painting done for fun back in 2016 that made me realise that traditional painting is actually awesome (after art school destroyed the enjoyment for me).
It was 100x60cm and I made it in about a week or two, which was a shockingly short time for me then.

I'm painting something for family soon but, because I haven't touched paint in a few years, I thought that I need some warm up.
The previous one was in acrylic and, I hope you won't be very disappointed but, I won't continue on it for now. This one in oil feels much better.
Counting time of course, I will be very happy to add traditional painting to my commission pricelist.

oil on cardboard, 31x45cm / 12,2x17,7"
Here is the little warm up oil painting, without a sketch or even references, just take a brush and paint something. Turned out cute for some reason, was supposed to be... more mysterious maybe. I thought about maybe adding a small strip of paper in the bottom and paint a bit more of her bust but after starting it didn't look very promising.
It is for sale if anyone's interested. Due to it's experimental nature I wouldn't expect more than £70, it took about 7-8 hours.

I am also very happy to announce that I can now accept commissions of portraits like this. I will add details about it to my pricelist soon but if anyone is interested already, feel free to let me know as I have all the materials at hand. The starting price should be about £100.
Life happened and so this took a while. Again. It was a pleasure to work on this though. I'm happy with the render, tried not to use too much super dark shadows. Background turned out pretty lovely too, all in all a success.
I got stuck at the plants, couldn't make them look good to me and my perfectionism insisted that the world will hate me if I won't get them right, lol. I still get those states, but it's getting better.

Hey, I'm not dead 🫠
Working on a big commission that is in progress for a long time now, that's why I haven't been posting anything else.
I have a plan to open Patreon again. For now I'm testing myself if I can make an artwork like the previous one every month for three months. I know it probably sounds ridiculous but my mental health is really not good lately so I'm setting small goals for now. So far it feels good, I didn't expect it to have this effect, just the decision of doing something specific is giving me some direction and schedule and thus alleviates anxiety.
Hopefully we'll start the new year with something special :), it will be super casual, small for a start but I will focus on delivering exactly what's promised.

Off to the unfinished pile with you.
I tried to make something Halloween themed. After three ideas I've decided it will be autumn themed. After fighting with this sketch for two weeks I'm done. I love Halloween, I really wanted to draw something spooky ;_; but sometimes art just don't want to happen.
