 بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Al-Mustawrad bin Makhramah narrated that 'Amir bin 'Awf informed him- and he was an ally of Banu 'Amr bin Lu'ay who had participated with The Messenger of ALLAH (ﷺ) at (the battle of) Badr, he said:

"The Messenger of ALLAH (ﷺ)  had dispatched Abu 'Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah, so he arrived with the wealth from Al-Bahrain. When the Ansar had heard of the arrival of Abu 'Ubaidah they were attending Salat Al-Fajr. So the the Messenger of ALLAH (ﷺ) performed the Salat and when he finished, they assembled before him. The Messenger of ALLAH (ﷺ) smiled when he saw them, then he said: 'I think that you heard that Abu 'Ubaidah has arrived with something?' They said: 'Yes O Messenger of ALLAH! 'He said: 'Then receive good news, and hope for what will please you. By ALLAH! It is not poverty that I fear for you, but what I fear for you is that the world will be presented for you just as it was presented for those before you, then you will compete for it, just as they competed for it, and it will destroy you, just as it destroyed them.'

Rabī’ bin Khuthaym رحمه الله said to his companions:

Do you know the disease, the cure, and the recovery?

They said: “No.”

He said: “The disease is sin, the cure is seeking forgiveness from Allah, and the [pathway to] recovery is to repent and then not repeat it.

Among the examples of the Prophet’s ﷺ humility as listed by Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله in Madaarij as-Saalikeen:

-He ﷺ would pass by a group of children and say salaam to them. He didn’t feel like he was too important or busy to be kind to the youth

-He ﷺ would lick the 3 fingers he ate with after eating. He was not like the kings and rulers of the dunya who felt themselves to be too high and mighty for certain things

-He ﷺ would have a habit of serving his household. He didn’t exercise his indisputable authority over people and have them do everything for him

-He ﷺ would never take revenge against anyone who wronged him

-He ﷺ would invariably take time out to go and visit the sick muslims

-He ﷺ would routinely attend and participate in the funeral prayers and burials

-He ﷺ would ride a donkey as transportation, never seeing himself as too noble or great to be seen on a lowly animal

-He ﷺ would answer slaves whenever they called or asked of him. He did not treat them poorly or ignore their requests because of the societal distinction between him and the slaves

-He ﷺ would patch up and repair his own clothes and sandals. He was never so full of himself that he’d make others do it for him, or have brand new clothing brought for him whenever he pleased

-He ﷺ would milk the sheep and bring it to his family, and he would feed and tend to the camels by himself

-He ﷺ would sit down and eat with his own servants

-He ﷺ would have a habit of sitting down with and accompanying the poorest people of the city

-He ﷺ would sacrifice his own time and priorities to go walk with the orphans and widows to help them with their needs

-He ﷺ would initiate the salaam with whoever he met first, not being so arrogant that he would wait until others addressed him first

-He ﷺ would respond to the call and question of whoever asked for him, even if they called him for something rudimentary and trivial

He ﷺ lived a very humble life, living with only the most basic provisions and sustenance. He had the softest of character, the most noble disposition, and he lived in the most beautiful manner with others around him. His face would beam with happiness, he would always be smiling, and humility (not of the shameful or disgraceful kind) would always be expressed on his face. He had the softest of hearts and was the most kind of all people towards other muslims, always putting the needs of others before his own and preferring others over himself.
Among the great calamities which can inflict a person is that he knows that he's negligent in his religious duties but he does not mind nor does he grieve over it.

Dear Sisters,

Have you paid all your missed Ramadan fasts because of any reason. Hardly 4 weeks are left for the beginning of Ramadan of this year. So, do not delay for repaying your fasts.

Also try to fast Atleast once or twice a week, you can build up the habit for Ramadan fasting.

Save your body from sickness and sudden pressure by building the fasting habit gradually.
It is mentioned in Surah Hud, verse 114

إِنَّ ٱلۡحَسَنَـٰتِ یُذۡهِبۡنَ ٱلسَّیِّـَٔاتِۚ

“Indeed the good deeds wipe out the bad deeds.”

This is not an open invitation to intentionally sin and then follow it up with a good deed. Rather this is a mercy and hope for the believer who has sinned unintentionally and feels guilty. Allah reassures us to follow these minor sins with a good deed such as salah, sawm or sadaqah. Easy ways to expiate our minor sins, remember this and act upon this every time we sin. This is the one of many mercies from our Lord.

A poet once said the following words informing about the month of Ramadan:

Ramadan has arrived, a harvest for the people
To purify the hearts from corruption
So fulfill its rights in speech and in action
And bring your provisions along for the hereafter
Whoever plants the seeds and yet does not water them
Will wail in regret on the Day of Harvest (Qiyaamah)
