✅ "have/has yet to + verb"

simply means something has not happened yet, but it is expected to happen in the future. It suggests a sense of anticipation or incompleteness.


🔶 کاربرد

این ساختار رسمی زمانی بکار میره که بخوایم انتظار وقوع کاری رو نشون بدیم.
مثلا تو فصل زمستان انتظار داریم هوا سرد باشه اما گرمه و امیدواریم که سرد بشه.
دقت کنید که این ساختار بصورت منفی ترجمه میشه.  پس میگیم:

Winter has yet to be cold.
زمستون باید سرد باشه. / زمستون هنوز سرد نشده.
= Winter is not cold yet.

یعنی حالا که زمستونه هوا فعلا گرمه ولی امیدواریم که سرد بشه.

💢 She has yet to finish her homework.
او باید تکلیفاشو تموم کنه. (= هنوز تموم نکرده اما بالاخره تمومش میکنه)
= She hasn't finished it yet, but she will.

💢 The train has yet to arrive.
قطار دیگه باید تا حالا اومده باشه. ( = هنوز نیومده ولی بالاخره می یاد)

🟣 به کاربرد کاما و inversion بعد از only if دقت کنید:

💢 If you arrive on time, you will get a seat. ✅ (comma needed)

This is because introductory "if" clauses are generally followed by a comma before the main clause.

Compare this to:

💢 Only if you arrive on time will you get a seat. ✅ (no comma needed)

So essentially, "only if" forces a unique sentence structure, while "if" behaves like most conditional phrases in English.

غافلگیر کردن / برتری پیدا کردن


🔶توضیح کاربردی:

عبارت "get the drop on someone" در اصل از دنیای دوئل‌های مسلحانه و تیراندازی‌های غرب وحشی گرفته شده است. این اصطلاح وقتی استفاده می‌شود که شخصی بتواند قبل از طرف مقابل اسلحه را آماده کند و او را در موضع ضعف قرار دهد. در این شرایط، طرف مقابل چاره‌ای ندارد جز تسلیم شدن، عقب‌نشینی یا از دست دادن کنترل.  این اصطلاح به طور کلی زمانی استفاده می‌شود که کسی قبل از دیگران اقدام کند و برتری پیدا کند. 😃

در واقع، "drop" اینجا به معنی واقعی "انداختن" یا "رها کردن" نیست، بلکه به این مفهوم اشاره دارد که فردی که دیرتر واکنش نشان دهد، شانس دفاع یا مقابله را از دست داده و شکست می‌خورد.

  امروزه این اصطلاح فقط برای موقعیت‌های مسلحانه استفاده نمی‌شود. بلکه در مکالمات روزمره هم به کار می‌رود تا نشان دهد که کسی توانسته برتری کسب کند، مثلاً در یک رقابت یا بحث، قبل از دیگران اقدام کند و شرایط را به نفع خود تغییر دهد. 

مثالهای کاربردی :

1️⃣ در یک نبرد یا درگیری: 

🔹 سربازان توانستند قبل از دشمن مخفی شوند و تیراندازی را آغاز کنند. آن‌ها برتری پیدا کردند و توانستند حمله را کنترل کنند.

💢 The soldiers got the drop on the enemy by attacking first.

🔹 سربازان قبل از دشمن حمله را شروع کردند و او را غافلگیر کردند. 

2️⃣ در یک رقابت: 

🔹 تیم ما قبل از رقیب استراتژی جدیدی را اجرا کرد و امتیاز بیشتری گرفت. ما برتری گرفتیم. 

💢 Our team got the drop on the opponents by scoring early.

🔹 تیم ما قبل از حریف امتیاز گرفت و برتری پیدا کرد. 

3️⃣ در یک بحث یا معامله: 

🔹 مدیر شرکت قبل از رقبا قرارداد را امضا کرد و توانست بازار را تصاحب کند. او برتری پیدا کرد.
