Пpoчитaть poмaн взасос
🇬🇧 to read the novel without stopping

🔢🔢🔢 🌱☀️🍁Seasons:

1. Зима (femin.noun)
    [zima]
• Зимний (adjective)
  [ zimniy ]
🇬🇧 Winter, wintry

2. Весна (femin.noun)
    [ visna ]
Весенний (adjective)
  [ visenniy ]
🇬🇧 Spring, vernal

3. Лето (neuter noun)
    [ leta ]
Летний (adjective)
  [ letniy ]
🇬🇧 Summer, summery

4. Осень (femin.noun)
    [ osen' ]
• Осенний (adjective)
  [ asenniy ]
🇬🇧 Autumn/Fall, autumnal

🔻In Russian the verb 'to be' in present tense is almost always omitted. So, you have to put a dash ( - ) between subject and object in accusative:

5. (Весна) - моё любимое время года.
[ (visna) mayo lubimaye vremya goda ]
🇬🇧 (Spring) is my favourite season.

🔻The hyphen (-), on the other hand, connects compound words and phrases:

Весна-распутица
  [ visna-rasputitsa ]
🇬🇧 Spring thaw, spring bad roads

Гжель
  [ gzhel' ]

🔻Gzhel is a type of ceramic handicraft. It comes from the village of Gzhel in Moscow Region, where the special clay has been mined for ages.

🔻Porcelain produced from local clay was appreciated even at the court of Tsar Alexey Mikhailovich. In the 19th century, there were dozens of factories in the area, which produced dishes, stove tiles and other ceramic products, as well as toys in the form of animals.

🔻The technique of gzhel is 'majolica' and it features floral ornaments and all in the brand's blue and white colours.

Русский мат как музыка
  [rooskij mat kak moozyka]
Russian foul language is like music.

🔻In ancient Rus' there was the concept of 'поле брани' [ pole brani ] (swear battlefield), when the enemy was forced to go on the attack (which incured more losses than to defend) with the help of obscenities and swear words.

🔻Of course, it is absolutely inappropriate to use swearing while talking to unfamiliar/elder people/colleagues/kids. However, it is an integral part of Russian culture and history.

PS Let me know if you'd like to learn some words from the video😉.
