🚨 URGENT! Ancient Russia is back!
A rider was spotted near the Peter and Paul Fortress. But not just any rider — he's wearing a traditional yarmulke cap, ancient Russian clothing, and riding a horse-scooter!
Do you think Ivan Tsarevich has finally set off to rescue the princess from Koschei the Deathless?
Or maybe the guy just heard the phrase "You always have to be on a horse" and took it extremely literally?
Did he go to meet girls who are into historical reenactment?
Let us know what you think!

"Currently living people will perish in the war between humans and cyborgs."
— S.B. Pereslegin, Futurologist
🔻 A video has emerged showing tests of the Russian 'Bagulnik-82' mortar module mounted on the 'Kuryer' robotic platform. The robot fires 82mm mortar rounds from a rotating turret with an autoloader.
🔻 The reloading process takes about 5 seconds. A human crew does it faster — in 2.5 seconds. But the question is: how many minutes can a human crew maintain that pace under return fire, without fatigue, fear, or mistakes?
🔻 The robot does not breathe, blink, or spare itself. Its minute never ends.
🔻 We can still outrun the machine over a short distance. But war is won by the one who doesn't run out of breath three minutes into the fight.

Burger rebrand in Russia?
The Communists of Russia party suggests renaming hamburgers into кокошники (traditional Old Slavic headdress🇷🇺 🇷🇺 🇷🇺 ).
Other options: котлетники (from the noun котлета - a cutlet) or Ленинградский бутерброд (Leningrad sandwich) - all to fight English loanwords.
Would you order a kokoshnik with fries?🤤 🍔

🍯 The Russian Пряник is a 1,000-year-old sweet
Did you know?
• Пряник (пряники) (masc.noun)
[prya-nik (prya-ni-ki)]
Gingerbread
The famous Russian пряник started as something much simpler:
👍 9th century: Vikings brought the recipe to Russia. It was called медовый хлеб (honey bread) - just rye flour, berry juice, and lots of honey (almost half the dough!).
👍 12th–13th centuries: Spices arrived from India and the Middle East – cinnamon, cloves, cardamom. That's when it got its name: пряник comes from the adjective пряный [prya-nyj] spicy.
👍 At first, spices were so expensive that пряники were a true delicacy, even served at the Tsar's table .
🔸 Soon, every Russian region developed its own traditions - from hand-sculpted animal-shaped kozuli in the North to the famous printed Tula pryanik with jam or condensed milk inside .
🎁 Today, it's a beloved symbol of Russian cuisine - just like the balalaika or samovar!

🚀71st anniversary of the founding of the Baikonur Cosmodrome.
👨🚀On June 2, 1955, by a directive of the General Staff of the USSR Ministry of Defense, the organizational and staffing structure of the 5th Research Test Range was approved, and military unit 11284 was established. From that day began the history of the world's first cosmodrome.
👨🚀On October 4, 1957, the first artificial Earth satellite was launched from Baikonur, and on April 12, 1961, the first cosmonaut of the planet, Yuri Gagarin, took off from its pad.
👨🚀Today, Baikonur remains Russia’s main space harbor, from which manned and cargo spacecraft are launched. Every new liftoff from its site continues the great history that opens humanity’s path to the stars.

Guests of St. Petersburg rented an apartment and got a surprise!
• Снимать (снять) квартиру посуточно
[sni-mat' (snyat') kvar-ti-ru pa-soo-tach-na]
To rent an apartment for daily rent
🔻 There was a note from the owners on the windowsill. It said that a little cat lives on the roof and can be fed. They even left food and a bowl for that.
🔻 The cat showed up right on schedule. He came to the window and started peering inside attentively, waiting for his breakfast.
🐱 It was clear that this ritual had long become a habit for him.
