Не будь лапшой!
[ ni boot' lap'shoy ]

Literally:
Don't be noodle!

Meaning:
Don't be a weakling (as soft as noodle, doughfaced), be strong physically and mentally.

🔻Russians usually use this saying when someone sneezes or as a humorous wish to a child for a birthday.

🔻The full proverb is:

Будь здоров! Расти большoй! Не будь лапшой!
[ boot' zda'rof, ras'tee bal'shoy, ni boot' lap'shoy ]
🇬🇧 literally: Be healthy! Grow big!  Don't be weak! / Bless you!

🔻This phrase is informal, so, you can use it with your close people, friends but not with your boss at work🤐.

🎧🗣👇 listen, practice and    stay healthy!

🔢 Pereslavl-Zalessky is a town in Yaroslavl Oblast, Russia.

🔻It was founded in 1152 by George I of Vladimir as a projected capital of Zalesye (lit. 'beyond the woods').

🔻Between 1175 and 1302, Pereslavl was the seat of a principality; in 1302, it was inherited by the prince of Moscow following the childless death of Dmitry of Pereslavl's son Ivan.

🔻Pereslavl-Zalessky was devastated numerous times by the Mongols between the mid-13th century and the early 15th century.

🔻In 1688–1693, Peter the Great built his famous "fun flotilla" on Lake Pleshcheyevo for his own amusement, including the so-called Peter's little boat (botik).

🔻There are numerous tourists sights here:

• The Museum of an Iron
• Teapot Museum
• The Museum of Alexander Nevsky
• The boat of Peter I
• Steam Locomotive Museum
• an arboretum
• Orthodox shrines and architectural monuments

Потом докажи, что ты не верблюд!
[ pa'tom daka'zhee shto ty ni verbl'yud ]

Literally:
Then prove that you are not a camel!

Meaning:
It is usually said when the narrator is faced with the impossibility of proving the obvious absence of his guilt in something.

Origin:
This phrase appeared after a popular Soviet political anecdote in the USSR in the 1920s - 1930s 😀:

Foxes (or hares) are running across the border of the USSR. They are asked:
- Why are you running away?
- Because they will arrest all the camels.
- But you’re not camels, are you?
- So, go and prove to the NKVD that you are not a camel!

The man in this meme is a well-known actor Sergei Bodrov who starred in the popular Russian films 'Brother' and 'Brother-2'.

😳 If you're under 18 or just against obscene language, please, skip this post!

⚠️'Дебилы, блядь!'
    [ di'bily blyat' ]

🔻This is a famous phrase uttered by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on August 11, 2015 during a press conference with Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir and then received widespread media coverage, turning into a meme.

🔻In the posted recording it was not clear to whom this statement was addressed, but a minute later Lavrov made a remark to the people sitting in the hall: “Are we disturbing you?”

🔻Literally it can be translated as: 'Morons/idiots, f**k.'

🔻Lavrov’s phrase subsequently came to mean a person or some group of people who do or say stupid things.

PS Russian famous 'блядь' ('бля' for short) can express a wide range of emotions from surprise to anger.

🎧🗣👇 listen but don't use it!

🔢 Ростов Великий
    [ ras'tov vi'likij ]

🔻First mentioned in documents in 862 as an important settlement, by the 10th century Rostov became the capital city of Vladimir-Suzdal, the most prominent principalities in Rus'.

🔻Ravaged by the Mongols in the 13th and 14th centuries, and the Poles in 1608, Rostov survived as a medium-sized town.

🔻The main thing why tourists come here is the most beautiful temples, monasteries and cathedrals.

🔻If you are not a fan of church architecture, then there is also something for you to see museums, gardens, fortresses, galleries and much more.

🔻The Rostov Kremlin museum complex was included among the most valuable cultural heritage sites of which Russia is proud.

🔻While the official name of the town is Rostov, it is popularly known to Russians as Rostov Veliky (Ростов Великий) to distinguish it from the much larger city of Rostov-on-Don.
