Fist fights: Brutal entertainment or character forging?

🔻Fist fights in Russia were held back in pagan times. First mentioned by Nestor 1068 in the "ПВЛ".

🔻They were specially preparing for the battles, and in the outback of the Pskov region there is still a rite of "breaking", a ritual dance before the battle, the movements of the dancer resemble a bear.

🔻The fights were held Стенка на стенку (literally: wall to wall) the participants lined up in two ranks and converged in a fist fight. There were also individual self-on-self fights, including court fights.

🔻The battles were fought in squares, on ice in winter. You could punch with your fist, but you could do leg sweeps. Those who fell and were wounded with bleeding were forbidden to be beaten. Children were the first to converge WtW, then teen. and finally adults.

🔻 Residents of the city and neighboring villages participated in such battles, which were common on  such holidays as Maslenitsa.

The Most Adorable Dance-Off!

🔻Our trail cameras at the Nizhne-Svirsky Nature Reserve just captured a truly heartwarming and unique moment!

🔻Two playful bear cubs were filmed performing an incredibly synchronized scratch routine against a tree. Standing perfectly side-by-side, they moved with such harmony, it was like watching a perfectly choreographed dance number - a real "dancing duo" in the wild!

🔻Reserve staff noted that this is the first time such a charming and coordinated display has ever been captured on camera within the reserve!

"Squid Game" star Ho Sung-tae recently performed the iconic Russian song Журавли (Cranes) on Park Bo-gum's show, and his heartfelt rendition in Russian brought tears to many eyes.

🔻This moving song, was originally сreated in 1968 by Yan Frenkel (music) and Rasul Gamzatov (lyrics) as a memorial to the Ossetian Gazdanov family, who tragically lost all seven of their sons in the WW2.

🔻Its deep emotional resonance, especially after being featured as a soundtrack in popular series, holds a very special place in Korea.
