☕ 😌 Coffee is magic... It turns zombies into people in the morning (с)
In 🇬🇧 English the pronoun 'it' is used for 'coffee'. But in 🇷🇺 Russian it is not that simple.
It was Peter I who managed to popularize coffee among the population. Then it was called 'кофей' or 'кофий' - masculine nouns. Accordingly, there were no conflicts on how to correctly decline adjectives: ароматный кофей (fragrant coffee) , вкусный кофий (delicious coffee).
😡🤜🤛🤬The controversy arose when the pronunciation developed in the form familiar to the current generation - 'кофе'.
❗By order of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation dated 09/01/2016, the neuter gender is officially assigned to кофе. According to the innovations, the pronunciation of this word in the masculine/neuter gender is equally correct.
😅 Как жить, если 'кофе' - ОНО???
