Β 70-х годaх в Зaпaдной Гeрмaнии жил нeмeц, который во врeмя ΒОΒ был у нac в плeну, рaccкaзывaл, что eго внук cвязaлcя c нeонaциcтaми и говоpил:
"Дeд, мы додeлаeм то, что вы нe додeлали".
Тот eму отвeтил:
"Можeшь начинать пpямо ceйчаc, купи билeт и eзжай в Сибиpь - там я eщe много лecа нe допилил".
In the 1970s, a German living in West Germany, who had been a prisoner of war in the USSR during WWII, told a story about his grandson. The grandson had become involved with neo-Nazis and said: "Grandpa, we'll finish what you didn't."
The grandfather replied: "You can start right now. Buy a ticket and go to Siberia – there's still a lot of wood I didn't cut down there."

[ah, oy]
🔻А, ой! is a versatile Russian interjection that usually indicates a moment of realization followed by a negative emotion such as pain, regret, surprise, or dismay.
🔻The closest single English equivalent would often be something like: "Oh no!" or "Oh dear!" or even just a simple "Oops!" depending on the situation.

Аn animated video for the 80th anniversary of Victory Day, bringing memories to life and giving them faces was created by Sberbank.
👍 At its heart are the touching lines from Robert Rozhdestvensky's Requiem, a poem that became the voice of millions and a symbol of personal memory of the war:
По́мните!
Че́рез века́, че́рез года́, —
по́мните!
О тех,
кто уже́ не придёт никогда́, —
по́мните!
Remember!
Through centuries, through years—remember!
Those who will never come again—remember!
Do not weep!
Hold back the sobs in your throat,
the bitter sobs.
Be worthy of the memory of the fallen!
Forever worthy!
People!
While hearts still beat—remember!
At what cost
happiness was won—
please, remember!

Due to heightened security measures in Moscow, the internet has been shut down.
🔻Residents of Russian regions have come up with a new holiday - the Day of the Runet without Muscovites.
🔻Please, before celebrating😉 , mind the difference between Russian prepositions С (with) (+ Instrumental) and БЕЗ (without) (+Genitive):
• (Рунет) С москвичами
(Runet) WITH Muscovites
(Runet) WITHOUT Muscovites
📎 Ничего (nothing) is written in one word.

My dear comrades!
Roskomnadzor is blocking mobile internet on 60% of the country's territory on May 9th, and that includes my region.
As a result, I'm publishing my May 9th posts almost today.
Please send any objections to @RCR_feedback_bot if any😉 .

[z dnyom pa-be-dy]
(I congratulate you) on the Victory Day!
🔻I wouldn't translate С Днём Победы! as Happy Victory Day.
It sounds incorrect. This holiday is one 'with tears in our eyes'. So many losses. It's the price of Russia's right to live a free and independent life now. It's hard to overestimate this opportunity. And it's terrifying to imagine what would have happened if our ancestors hadn't been able to do it in 1945. But they did, and we remember and highly value everyone who didn't falter, didn't bow down, didn't spare themselves or their lives.
🔻And the cowardly shouts from Western countries that it's time to forget this event, trying to rewrite the history, or even the desire of great-grandchildren to finish what their fascist ancestors couldn't do(!), will not be able to stop us from being proud of what our great-grandfathers did in 1945. No one can. Remember that.
And we will remember and be proud of our great-grandparents.

Victory Day Song in the Languages of the Allied Nations
🔻Sberbank presented the song День Победы (Day of Victory) in the languages of the peoples who fought shoulder to shoulder during the Great Patriotic War.
🔻The project unites about 20 languages – from Belarusian to Armenian.
🔻On a special page, users can listen to the song in the language of their ancestors, create a personalized greeting – as a tribute to their family and the common feat – and use a sticker pack in different languages to congratulate relatives and friends.
🔻English version of the song is here: https://www.sberbank.com/promo/pesnya_pobedy/preview?lang=eng
