A new volcano-shaped airport has opened in Kamchatka

🔻The facility cost 27 billion rubles!  The scale and modernity are impressive, as are the colorful chairs.  The large egg-shaped art installation in the center of the terminal is also striking.

🔻They also plan to open an ice rink there.

🔻The airport's first passengers received commemorative medals and were treated to a buffet.

🔻Come visit Kamchatka! Now we have not only a beautiful region, but also a beautiful airport!

👋Приветствую!
Не забывайте про витамины весной!

Травоядный 🆚️ Плотоядный

🔢 Травоядный
[tra-va-yad-nyj]
Herbivorous

🔢 Плотоядный
[pla-ta-yad-nyj]
Carnivorous

Etymology:
The suffix -ядный derives from the verb есть [yest'] (to eat). Therefore, these words literally mean grass-eating and flesh-eating:

Трав(а) (grass)+ linking 'о' + ядный (eating)

Плот(ь)
(flesh) + linking 'о' + ядный (eating)

💢In colloquial Russian травоядный has one more, figurative or ironical meaning harmless, incapable of aggression:

Да, не бойся Василия. Это он снаружи такой грозный, а в душе он травоядный.
Yes, don't be afraid of Vasily. He may look intimidating on the outside, but inside he's a gentle soul.

📎 Please don't call your tough-looking husband/bf травоядный to avoid misunderstanding or arguments😅!

Discover the intricate beauty of wood carving in Tyumen, Russia!

🔻This Siberian city boasts a rich tradition of carvings adorning window frames and shutters of its charming wooden houses.

🔻Tyumen wood carving is three-dimensional. Its relief can vary in height, creating a rich interplay of light and shadow as the lighting changes, resulting in a very picturesque effect.

🔻The motifs of Tyumen carving are comparable to gilded iconostasis carving: lush roses, grapes, apples, pears, acanthus leaves, shells, and scrolls.

🔻A single mansion might feature up to four different motifs. This type of carving also resembles the palace carving of the Baroque style.

The track "Khumai" by the Bashkir band AY YOLA (Russia) has conquered not only Russian, but also global charts, surpassing Lady Gaga on Shazam and leading the Apple Music playlist in Ukraine.

🔻The song is about the mythical magical bird Khumai, which brings good luck.

🔻And a new trend has appeared on TikTok using this track. Girls from all over the world are putting their cats on their heads, using them as fur hats, just like in the singer's music video (video 1).
