During the Second Chechen War in 2000, a Russian soldier took an AK-47 round to the forehead
π»The soldier survived the head shot, even finding humor in the situation. He maintained this lighthearted mood while his comrade used pliers to remove the bullet from his forehead.
π»The shot was likely fired from a long distance, or the bullet may have passed through obstacles, significantly reducing its velocity.
π»Anyway, the soldier, with his remarkably resilient skull, was nicknamed the "Russian Terminator," after the popular Hollywood cyborg.
β’ Π¨Π°Π»ΡΠ½Π°Ρ ΠΏΡΠ»Ρ (fem.noun)
[shal'-na-ya pu-lya]
A stray bullet
π»This is a bullet fired without aiming, that happened to hit a target or passed dangerously close to one by chance.

π»The Russian verbs Π΄ΡΠ°Π·Π½ΠΈΡΡ and Π΄ΡΠ°Π·Π½ΠΈΡΡΡΡ both relate to teasing but:
[draz-nit']
To tease (someone)
π»This verb requires an indirect object (a noun/pronoun in Genitive case) β it's someone who is being teased:
β’ ΠΠ΅ Π΄ΡΠ°Π·Π½ΠΈ ΠΌΠ΅Π½Ρ!
Don't tease me! /Stop teasing me!
[draz-ni-tsa]
To mock, to tease
π»This form is typically used without an object, focusing on the act of teasing itself.
π»Despite being reflexive, Π΄ΡΠ°Π·Π½ΠΈΡΡΡΡ doesn't necessarily mean teasing oneself. On the contrary, the emphasis is on the process of teasing.
β’ Π₯Π²Π°ΡΠΈΡ Π΄ΡΠ°Π·Π½ΠΈΡΡΡΡ!

Zinaida Mikhailovna Tusnolobova-Marchenko is a symbol or wartime courage
π»Zinaida was a medic of the Red Army in the 849th Rifle Regiment during World War II. Over eight months on the front lines, a young woman bravely rescued 123 soldiers, carrying them from the battlefield, before suffering injuries herself.
π»After being attacked by a German soldier in Kursk, suffering from severe frostbite, and getting gangrenous wounds she became a quadruple amputee.
π»With her injuries forcing her to retire from the military she spoke on the radio and wrote an open letter to the soldiers of the 1st Baltic Front which received over 3,000 replies.
π»Following Zinaida's appeal in her open letter to the soldiers and workers, the slogan "For Zinaida Tusnolobova!" appeared on the sides of many Soviet tanks, planes, and guns.
π»She was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union on 6 December 1957 and the Florence Nightingale Medal in 1965.
