Leonid Ilyich Brezhnev was fond of embarrassing foreign dignitaries – both male and female – with a hearty lip-smacking kiss on the mouth as a form of greeting.

🔻The most famous photo – and piece of graffiti – on the Berlin Wall was of Brezhnev kissing East German leader Erich Honecker in 1979.

🔻The image of the two leaders locked in their fraternal smacker was daubed on the Berlin Wall as an appeal for friendship between peoples.

🔻The only US leader to be subjected to Brezhnev's osculatory attentions was Jimmy Carter.
