🇬🇧 Even when cameras were very rare and printing pictures was very expensive people still took pictures of cats.

🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺The ladies of the folk ensemble Крапива delight listeners with the beloved song from the movie Чародеи (Magicians) (1982).

The rivers got cold, and the land got cold,

And the houses slightly bristled.

In the town it's warm and wet,

In the town it's warm and wet,

And in the countryside it's winter, winter, winter!

Chorus:
And they're carrying me away, and they're carrying me away

Into the ringing snowy distance

Three white horses, oh, three white horses-

December, January, and February!

or

🤔Which variant is correct?

🔻For greetings, the nominative case is traditionally used: "Доброе утро!", and for goodbyes, the genitive case is used, for example, "Спокойной ночи!" or "Всего хорошего!" (All the best).

🔻This is not a rule, but a feature that has been formed by the language system over many years. If you use other forms, it will not be considered a gross violation.

Which variant of morning greetings do you usually use?

[kak pit' dat']
SLT: how to give something to drink

Meaning:
Certainly, without a doubt

Prepositions ДО and ПОСЛЕ

Our cat is so cuddly before breakfast!

🔻 ДО can also mean until/till:

Пока!
Bye! Till Monday! (See you on Monday!)
🔣🔣🔣🔣🔣🔣🔣🔣🔣🔣🔣

[pos-li]
Аfter

🔻To denote action which is followed by some event, we use the structure: preposition ПОСЛЕ + genitive case:

После завтрака нашего кота лучше не трогать!
It's best not to touch our cat after breakfast!

🔻 ПОСЛЕ can also be an adverb with the meaning ПОЗЖЕ, ПОЗДНЕЕ later, afrterwards (at some time subsequent to a given time):
