The Proto-Slavs used clay stamps and seals to apply body art.
🔻Interestingly, among the ancient Slavs, tattoos were primarily worn by women.
🔻The skin drawings were a ritual amulet for the guardian of the hearth.
🔻With the spread of Christianity, the custom of tattooing was eradicated, as it was an integral part of pagan rituals.
🔻Among the inhabitants of Europe, tattooing was not practiced until the 18th century.

Precious handmade and noble materials in the stained-glass products of the Hrizolit workshop can be seen in Rostov, Yaroslavl Oblast.
🔻Besides their primary focus on icon making, they create pieces using the technique of stained glass enamel, carrying on the work of pre-revolutionary masters.
🔻Russian art, particularly the atmosphere of fairytale and epic Russia, serves as inspiration for the creation of their tableware.
🔻The process of creating of an item is the precious work of several Craftsmen over several weeks.
🔻The artist draws a sketch, the jeweler makes a filigree ornament, the enameler puts the enamels in the cells, the product is repeatedly fired in muffle furnaces at temperatures up to 800°C, it is polished, gilded, and then it is ready to fly to a new home.

A decree issued by Russian Empress Elizabeth in 1746 legalized branding criminals with hot iron.
🔻This decree gave birth to a new epithet, still used in Russian today to describe rogues and scammers:
• Прожжённый
[prа-zhzhyo-ny]
SLT: burned through
Of the blackest dye
