Did you know about the Kuzhenkino station in the Tver region? This is a preserved old railway station built in 1907, which is still operational today.

🔻The Bologoe-Polotsk line doesn't play a major role in transportation. This is largely why the Kuzhenkino station has been preserved almost in its original form.

🔻The station is beautiful with its details, most of which are authentic, although some decorative elements had to be restored.

🔻We arrived in the evening and two kind women, the stationkeepers, who were expecting us, asked me to bring the station bell outside for our filming. It's removed for the night, so after we finished filming, I had to take it back inside.

🔻We were even allowed to look out of the ticket window and see the world through the eyes of the ticket seller.

🔻Today, trains run rarely here. Despite this, Kuzhenkino is one of the most beautiful old train stations in Russia!

During a cruise to the North Pole aboard the icebreaker "50 Years of Victory," a traveler performed a ballet piece from "Swan Lake" directly on the Arctic ice, reports the public page of the Polar Travel Club on VK.

🔻Cruise participant Daria Panchenko donned her pointe shoes practically at the North Pole, dancing against the backdrop of the nuclear-powered icebreaker "50 Years of Victory." This performance became the most northerly ballet performance on the planet.

National Flag Day of Russia

🔻The Russian 'Tri-colour,' another name for the national flag of Russia consists of three horizontal stripes of white, blue, and red.

🔻The design of Russia’s national flag was first adopted in the late 17th century, during the period of Peter the Great.

🔻The three colours of the flag represent different aspects of Russia:

🤍 Белый symbolizes nobility and frankness
💙 Синий represents loyalty and vigilance
❤ Красный stands for courage and love.

🔻Peter I is recognized as the legal 'father' of the tricolour. On January 31 (January 20, old style), 1705, he issued a decree according to which 'on all kinds of trading ships' a white-blue-red flag should be raised, he himself drew a sample and determined the order of horizontal stripes .
