• Первый Георгиевский Кавалер
[ рer-vyj Gior-gi-yevs-kiy ka-va-ler ]
🇬🇧 The first Knight of St. George
🔻In 1914, Kryuchkov and three fellow soldiers suddenly encountered 27 German uhlans. The Germans saw that there were only four Russians and rushed to attack.
🔻Kryuchkov tried to shoot back, but the cartridge jammed. Then, with one cavalry sword, he entered into battle with 11 enemies surrounding him.
🔻After a minute of battle, Kryuchkov was already covered in blood, but continued to beat his enemies. And Kryuchkov’s comrades dealt with the rest of the Germans. By the end of the battle, 22 corpses lay on the ground. Eventually, 16 wounds were found on Kryuchkov’s body.
🔻After this incident, the Germans and Austrians stopped taking Cossacks prisoner, killing them on the spot.

🔻In Russian there's also a funny kids poem about Varvara and her nose. Check it!👇

🔻Before the 1917 revolution, fragrances from Russia were world famous, and perfume bottles were rightfully considered one of the most exquisite.
🔻An amazing perfumer was Vladimir Ferrein, who is now remembered, unfortunately, only by the name of his pharmacy.
🔻The well-known "Красная Москва" “Red Moscow” is a fragrance created for the 300th anniversary of the House of Romanov, which used to be called "Любимый букет императрицы".“The Empress’s Favorite Bouquet”.
🔻However, in Soviet times, the Bolsheviks decided that a simple wash would be enough for the women of the USSR, so the fragrances that conquered the world became a thing of the past.
