🔹The Supreme Court held that a husband cannot be excluded as a dependent in motor accident compensation merely because he is able-bodied.
🔹In the absence of proof of employment, the husband is to be considered on the deceased wife’s income.
🔹The Court directed recalculation of compensation, including the husband along with the children as dependents.
🔹The case arose from a 2015 motor accident where the wife (pillion rider) died, and the family sought compensation under the Motor Vehicles Act.
