KY’s Representative Council 24-25 met for the last time yesterday! 🧡
During KYE 8/2025, RepCo confirmed:
- Action plan and budget estimate for 2026
- KY’s strategy for 2026–2029
- KY Association’s investment plan for 2026–2030
- Membership fees for 2026
- Auditor for 2026
- KY Acknowledgements to be recognized at the KY 115 Annual Ball
- New chair, student and advisory members for the KY Foundation board
Additionally, the Supervisory Council of the KY Foundation decided to discontinue itself and move the responsibilities to the RepCo and KY Board from the year 2026 onwards 🙏
RepCo moves now onto Christmas break 🎅 See you next year!

You will not be working alone, so this is an amazing chance to try something completely new and have an experience that won’t be easy to replicate. 🎭

The 115th Annual Ball takes place at the beautiful Ravintola Töölö tonight🌹
Here’s some information regarding the evening:
🚫No outside drinks
Please do not bring your own beverages to the venue! The staff has been very strict about this, and bringing your own drinks will result in removal from the event. There will be two bars serving drinks throughout the evening!🥂
🗓️Schedule
Doors open at 17:00
Dinner starts at 18:00
Photo booth operates between 16:00 - 22:00
Buses to the afterparty depart at 00:30 and 1:15
For those attending the cocktail event, please check your assigned time slot if you’re meeting the KY board.

Hi KY!
As many of you probably know from recent news, the now resigned Chair of the Board of Suomen Ekonomit Jukka-Pekka Kokkonen was removed from a KY event last weekend due to alleged misconduct and unacceptable behavior.
KY has now discussed the situation with all involved parties, and our usual Code of Conduct process has been brought to an end.
As a result of the thorough discussions the President and Executive Director of KY have issued Kokkonen a ban from all KY’s events until further notice. The ban has been issued to Kokkonen in mutual agreement. The severity of the sanction was strongly influenced by the person’s position of responsibility, trust and authority. At his permission and the request of both parties, the matter is being communicated publicly, contrary to KY’s usual Code of Conduct practices.
We understand the interest of our members to know what exactly happened at the event, but our main interest is to protect the privacy and mental wellbeing of the KY members involved in the situation. That is why KY is not commenting on this in more detail.
Speaking up about and confronting misconduct always takes courage. It is not always easy, but it is necessary to create a safe community. We would like to thank all the KY members who have been brave in this specific case, and remind everyone that KY is always here to listen to your concerns and experiences.
Our Code of Conduct applies at all KY events, premises and activities, and we do not tolerate any misconduct. If you experience or see any type of misconduct, do not hesitate to contact us.
