Lunch today at Los Cuevas, one of our new favourites. There was a table for three nearby, looked like a daughter with her elderly parents. We couldn't help but notice that the mother tucked away a significant amount of food, much of it fried.
After the plates were cleared, some brandy was served and then some desserts. And the staff suddenly were singing Feliz CumpleaΓ±os and many in the room (including us) joined in. It was the elderly woman's birthday and after the singing her [presumed] husband held up her dessert for all to see the numbers that were embedded ... 95!

So today after my run Steve and I went for coffee. He said, "Meet me at the pigeon hotel." So I did (photo 1) and we ended up going to Bar Toro. I was wearing my Betis training jersey (sample in photo 2) and it caused a bit of an uproar. Turns out JosΓ© is a Sevilla fan, i.e. very much not a Betis fan, and kept feigning disgust. Carmen, on the other hand, is and kept saying, "Me encanta, me encanta!" All of this to the amusement of several other customers. Good times π
