The scene from our balcony right now. The Cabalgata will be along in just a few minutes. We are near the end of the line; about six hours in total. Last year over 300,000 people lined the route.

And it ends with the third king (Baltasar) after 41 minutes of madness. Delightful!
Excellent Sunday lunch at La Montanera today. Video taken from our seats at the bar.
Manuel is the very nice barman at La Montanera, our favourite slightly upscale restaurant in Los Remedios.

Our lunch today at Bar La Maceta, one of our favourites. Very typical meal ... excellent quality and service. The place was packed as always. And less than $25.
Morning cafΓ© at our favourite ... Bar Toro. Notice the faux butter service that they plunk down when you order a tostada. Several tubs in constant circulation.

Possibly the worst album of all time. Currently listening to Dancing Queen. We've already heard September and Africa π at Delphina. Pretty good coffee though.

Another wonderful lunch at Bodega Vargas which we dedicated to our very good friend Suzanne who is poorly at the moment. She would definitely enjoy it here.

The Instituto Hispano-Cubano, spotted on our after-lunch stroll. Beautiful day here.
