Easy monitoring of account compromise with KUMA
Cyberattacks often begin with compromised login credentials. Until recently, detecting abnormal activity in KUMA required thorough data analysis and manually reviewing hundreds of alerts. This approach does not work well for large distributed organizations.
🎯In KUMA 4.2, we introduced a new rule that detects anomalies in user authentication and network activity.
Instead of searching for known attack patterns, the rule works based on statistical data from your infrastructure. The KUMA correlator performs the following actions:
❇️ Builds a profile of each user’s normal behavior
❇️ Compares user activity with this profile and evaluates deviations
❇️ Creates an event and sends the details to the SOC team when anomalies are detected
⚡Easy configuration, faster response, and reduced workload for SOC teams.
Learn more about configuring and using the rule in this article. Configure the rule in KUMA and start filtering out suspicious connections.
