Some news about the planned new crewed Russian spacecraft, PTK NP aka Oryol! At the meeting at RSC Energia, Roscosmos showed the static and dynamic mockups as well as the engine block, which currently undergo tests. Here are some photos by Roscosmos.
Roscosmos reported that the space surveillance network ASPOS OKP recorded more than 80 fragments of the destroyed #Intelsat-33e satellite. They say, there is a potential threat to all spacecraft in geostationary orbit, including the Russian satellites. Their analysis of the trajectories of the fragments shows that the destruction of the satellite was “simultaneous and high-energy in nature”. Roscosmos also noticed that the data of new fragments is currently being collected, and all the objects of space debris will be included in the calculations of dangerous approaches to the satellites of the Russian constellation: Express-AT1, Yamal-402, Express-AM6 and Electro-L.
Roscosmos shared new photos of #Angara launch complex on #Vostochny. After the launch of Angara A5 in April, the cable filling tower was equipped with a crewed spacecraft maintenance complex, which consists of a crew boarding gallery, an airlock vestibule and a clear compartment. They say, the crewed spacecraft maintenance complex already passed all the checks the operability of all systems, sensors and assemblies and is waiting for the first crewed launch from Vostochny. Stalkers. Stalkers never change. TASS reported that French and German citizens were detained at the Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. They had an intention to photograph a launch vehicle. An administrative report was drawn up on the detainees. According to the SHOT media, that are the 21-year-old French citizen Axel Olivier Roberto Guyeno and the 26-year-old German citizen Julian Karl-Jurgen Porenz. Not sure if the names are transcribed correctly, in the article they are written in Russian. Regarding that the next launch from Baikonur is scheduled for November 21, the launch vehicle is even not fully assembled yet. I wonder if they were stupid enough to try to sneak into the assembly building, or just thought that there is always a rocket on the pad? Well, at least they chose a colder season than the previous group of stalkers one of whom died from the heat in the steppe.
Aha, there's an update. According to the media, guys tried to take photos of the Energia rocket (a mockup, stored in the same building with the Burans). That makes more sense.
#Soyuz2.1b with Fregat upper stage is assembled on Vostochny cosmodrome to launch two #IonosferaM satellites and various piggyback payload. The launch is scheduled for November 4, 23:18 UTC (November 5, 02:18 MSK).
#ProgressMS29 has been loaded with fuel components in preparation for the launch which is scheduled for November 21, 12:22 UTC.
