1. Rosstat published data on the output of forestry products in the first three months of 2025. The production of softwood and hardwood lumber from January to March remained at last year's level (-0.8% compared to the same period in 2024) and amounted to 6.9 million cubic meters. The output of fiberboard, including MDF, HDF and floor coverings, during this period dropped by 6.8% compared to January-March 2024, to 173 million conventional square meters. At the same time, in March 2025, compared to February, most sub-sectors of the forestry industry saw a noticeable increase in output. Thus, last month, the production of lumber increased by 17.1%;
2. The number of new residential projects launched by developers in Russia is decreasing. This situation requires special attention, said Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting on economic issues.
