JUST IN - Pakistan: Military incursion by India is imminent.

Pakistani defence minister Khawaja Asif stated that an Indian incursion into Pakistan is "imminent" and that Pakistani forces have been reinforced.

"In that situation, some strategic decisions have to be taken" he told Reuters.

He added that if a war is to break out, both sides should refrain from using nuclear weapons.

I don’t know what’s worse, India and Pakistan exchanging nuclear blows, or the realization from the rest of the world that two nuclear armed powers can be in direct conflict and it not result in a nuclear exchange.

Pakistani defence minister Khawaja Asif also stated in the interview with Reuters that Pakistan would only use nuclear weapons if there is a direct threat to their existence. Pakistan's military is currently on high alert.
