As Admin writes this, I find myself at a loss for words — and maybe that's okay. Because what happened in Pahalgam yesterday... how do you even begin to make sense of something so heartbreaking?
So many innocent lives lost. So many families shattered. And an entire nation left asking the same painful question: Is there any humanity left?
As the Admin, I’m expected to communicate, to comfort. But today, Admin is just one of you — overwhelmed, grieving, and struggling to find peace in the face of such senseless violence.
We lost fellow citizens—people who had dreams, families, hopes. To their loved ones, we send all our prayers and strength. To the injured, we hope for healing.
In this moment of pain, may we find each other. May we stand together—not just in grief, but in hope. For a Jammu and Kashmir that breathes peace. For a country that never has to mourn like this again.
Let’s not let the darkness win.

A tragic terror attack shook the Baisaran area of Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, where a group of tourists was ambushed by terrorists. 28 innocent lives were lost, and over 20 were injured in this horrific act.
The Resistance Front (TRF), linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba, has claimed responsibility.
🔹 Attackers came dressed as security personnel and suddenly started shooting.
🔹 Many victims were tourists from outside J&K.
🔹 Security forces have arrested two suspects involved.
🔹 PM Modi and top leaders condemned the attack.
🔹 Government has assured strict action and support for victims.

The Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of Section 9, stating that conjugal rights are inherent in the institution of marriage. Section 9 merely codifies existing law, with the provision of 'reasonable excuse' serving as a safeguard against its misuse.

Sustained and deliberate acts of cruelty make it unreasonable to expect one spouse to continue living with the other.
3.Naveen Kohli v. Neelu Kohli (2006) 4 SCC 558
When a marriage has irretrievably broken down, forcing the parties to remain together serves no purpose and only prolongs their misery.
4.Lata Singh v. State of UP., (2006) 5 SCC 475
The Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 does not prohibit inter-caste marriages; such marriages are lawful if the essential conditions laid down in the Act are followed.
5.Samar Ghosh v. Jaya Ghosh AIR ONLINE (2007) SC 347
Gave 14 broad grounds to adjudge mental cruelty.
6.K. Srinivas Rao vs. D.A. Deepa (2013)5 SCC 226
Prolonged separation creates a presumption of the marriage having irretrievably broken down.
7.Amardeep Singh v. Harveen Kaur, (2017) 8 SCC 746
The Supreme Court ruled that the six-month period stipulated in Section 13B(2) is not obligatory but rather discretionary. It is within the court's purview to exercise discretion based on the facts and circumstances of each case, particularly when there is no possibility of the parties reconciling after exhausting all efforts of mediation and conciliation.
8.Rajnesh v. Neha (2021) 2 SCC 324
Some factors to be considered while awarding maintenance or alimony include :
(a) the duration of the marriage,
(b) the earning capacities of the parties,
(c) their age and health,
(d) their standard of living,
(e) their financial and non-financial contributions to the marriage.
9.Shilpa Shailesh v. Varun Sreenivasan (2022) 15 SCC 754
Prolonging a dead marriage serves no interest and only perpetuates the agony of the parties involved.
10.Kiran Jyot Maini vs. Anish Pramod Patel (2024) SCC OnLine SC 1724 Maintenance and alimony encompasses a right to sustenance that allows the spouse to live in a manner suited to her status and standard of living, and the aim is not to penalise the husband.
