One of the Joy’s Activations this month gratitude stations in the Joys Lounge. This station was open throughout different times during 2 festival weekends in Durango and utilized by over 350 people. At this activation, there were free journals to decorate, prompts and guidance of what authentic gratitude looks and feels like and an invitation for us to step out of what we think into what we feel.
What came through was so powerful. We had so many come to us and express how they connected to deeper purpose by having the space to do so; in the intersection of Joy and Action.
Through Gratitude for what IS abundant for us; we can step into a realized world where our neighbors are cared for. It’s one of the codes of Joy!
We invite you all to step in, sustain and empower Joy.
We are grateful for you all!

We are thrilled that Uproot Colorado is starting to already donate produce from Flesher Farms first crops. These beautiful additions to our last food distribution for the week today were super special.
Have you ever wondered about taking a complete neighborhood to 0 viable food waste? We have. We do such a good job at our Grocery Rescue that we have decided to tackle the restaurant waste as well in our immediate area.
Introducing the Joys Restaurant Rescue Mission!
Starting June 15, local area restaurants will take part in an experience and experiment of Joy with small steps they walk towards big action!
Often the guests that frequent Joys are hungry and though they are waiting for a full box of food; it’s important to get them something to immediately alleviate hunger. This program will aim to do that with the installation of a cargo EBike and a 2015 Chevy Sonic that’s been added to the fleet of Joy.
We are hopeful that the demonstration that a simple program that works hard and efficacy in real time that has 2 trucks, 2 trailers, an E-bike and a small Car can take a 5 mile radius to 0 waste of viable food.
This program is made possible through the willingness to trust that in caring for the micro, we hold the macro in order. We are excited to share with you all the opportunity for stepping into this action with us starting July 1st 2024. Keep watch for ways you can contribute to Joy and use your unique gifts!

The average healthy human intakes about 5 pounds of food a day to fuel a body.
IN THE US, 2.3 MILLION PEOPLE DIE EACH YEAR TO HUNGER RELATED DEATH.
Come on! This is pure insanity that does not need to exist. We do not have to see anyone hungry. There is more than enough food to feed people and feed them well.
