Yesterday, I had this shocking realization that so many wigmakers from Kazakhstan should really start working internationally… especially in Europe.
I met a cosplayer and wigmaker from Germany, and we ended up talking about pricing. I told him I was planning to sell my Yuzuha wig from ZZZ for 65€… and he was genuinely shocked. Like, completely flabbergasted 😭
He helped me rethink the price and even promoted the sale on his account for nearly triple the amount.… it sold within minutes.
That got me thinking: how do wigmakers in Europe actually price their commissions?
From what I learned, they break it down like this:
Honestly, I’m still shocked >< but in a good way. It really shows how much skill, effort, and time go into creating something by hand… and that it deserves to be priced that way
Either way, it’s still such a shocking price and totally different from prices here in KZ

From what I learned, they break it down like this:
— Cost of materials
— Wig base + extra wefts (if needed)
— Packaging
— Wig head
— Time and workload (hours spent styling)
In Europe, handmade work is really valued. Wigmakers usually charge around 15–25€ per hour for their work.
