A Call to Repentance

Zephaniah 2 serves as a powerful testament to God's justice and righteousness.

While the impending judgment may appear severe, it is a reminder of God's intolerance for sin and pride, as well as His promise of protection for those who humble themselves and seek righteousness.

It underscores the importance of repentance, humility, and reverence for God.

Zephaniah 2 is a call for repentance and a warning against the consequences of disobedience.

The prophet Zephaniah underscores the impending judgment on several nations.

This chapter is a stark reminder of the divine retribution and protection that comes with choosing to obey or defy God's commands
.
The Day of the Lord will come like a thief:

1 Thessalonians 5:2 states that "you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night."

This indicates that the Day of the Lord will be sudden and unexpected.

Believers are not in darkness:

1 Thessalonians 5:4 states that "But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief."

This reassures believers that they are not ignorant of God's plan and will not be taken by surprise.

Encouragement to be vigilant:

The passage emphasizes the importance of being awake and sober, not sleeping as others do.

It encourages believers to put on the armor of faith, love, and hope, preparing themselves for the Lord's return.

God's purpose of salvation:

1 Thessalonians 5:9 states that "For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ," highlighting that believers are not destined for judgment but for salvation through Christ.

Encouragement and edification:

The passage concludes with an exhortation to encourage and edify one another, building each other up in faith and hope.

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Wherefore comfort one another with these words."

1 Thessalonians 4: 16-18

Help others be ready !
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

John 3: 16-18

Dear Lord,

I pray that You will raise up more men and women to preach and share the good news in this troubled world.

Father raise up those who will not be afraid to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

Uncover the spiritual eyes of sinners of this world, that they may see the irradiating light of the gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord.

In His Precious name we pray ..

Amen .

Have a Blessed Day ! 😊

Amen

Dear Lord,

As I close this long and busy day, I seek Your calming presence.

Thank You for the strength to navigate today’s challenges, for the moments of joy, and even the setbacks that teach me patience.

Help me now to release the stress and worries that weigh on my heart.

Fill my mind with Your peace and my soul with Your rest.

May Your soothing love enfold me and grant a deep, soothing sleep. I trust in Your unending grace and find tranquility in Your steadfast presence.

In Jesus’ name, I pray.

Amen.

Have a Blessed Night !
😊
Glad you're here ! 😊

Prophecy Update.     9/8/2024

Loving Father in heaven, we are just in awe of You, O God.

Who is like unto You, O God?

There is no other.

You alone are worthy of all of our praise, all the glory due Your holy name, O God!

Your love for us, Jesus, Your death for us, Your gift to us of eternal life, I mean, how do β€” where do β€” where do we even start?

What can we even say? Thank You.

Lord, I thank You for Bible prophecy because it's a gauge for us. It's a measuring tape.

It's a thermometer that tells us the temperature, how hot it's getting, how late it’s getting.

And as we see what's happening in the world, we know it's getting very late, and Your return is very near.

And, Lord, I don't want anybody that is here in this church I'm so privileged to pastor or watching online to not be ready for when that trumpet sounds.

So Lord, if they're not right with You, I β€” I pray β€” I ask β€” I plead with You, Jesus, that today would be the day of their salvation so that they can know, as the Apostle John said, that they have eternal life, that their life has changed forever, starting today.

Their eternal life started today.

Our eternal life started the day we were born-again.

Please, Lord.

And for those of us who are just hanging, hanging on by a thread, I know You'll never let go of that thread.

You'll never let us go. Please, Lord, strengthen, encourage those who are downcast.

And lastly, Maranatha. Even so, Lord Jesus, come quickly.

In Jesus' name.

Amen
