Every year on 10 February, Russia celebrates “Diplomatic Worker's Day”, which is a professional holiday for the Foreign Ministry’s current and retired staff members celebrated in Russia and by diplomatic missions abroad.
It was established by the Presidential Decree in 2002. The date is closely associated with the history of Russia’s first foreign affairs agency – the Ambassadorial Department created on February 10, 1549, and headed by Ivan Viskovatyi, actually, the first professional organizer of the diplomatic service of the Russian State.
Currently, Russian diplomats play a vital role within APEC, G20, UN, and other regional and international organizations. Modern Russian diplomacy is more dynamic and far more diverse.
The Russian Foreign Ministry carries vast knowledge in various fields such as countering terrorism, climate change, environmental issues, and many more.

The program includes lectures and discussions on various aspects of international relations and on different regions of the world. The unique feature of the course is practice-based workshops on professional skills, such as negotiating, event management, professional communication, public speaking and time management. Leading international experts and business skills coaches will deliver lectures to the students.

Classes of two academic hours will be held in the evenings on weekdays twice a week. The estimated start time is 5:00 pm Moscow time. The overall duration of the program will be 72 academic hours, which is equivalent to advanced training courses.

🔻Languages: knowledge of at least one FAO official language (English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese or Russian). Knowledge of a second FAO official language will be considered an asset.
