The Regional Public Organization "BRICS. World of Traditions", Moscow, Russia and the International Youth Edu-Skills Foundation, Noida, India, are preparing for the realization of the International and Interregional social and cultural program "BRICS People Choosing Life" that will be implemented in the states of "the five" from 2022 to 2025 under the motto “From the ecology of soul and body to the ecology of the world”.

The Indian phase of the baton of the social and cultural program “BRICS People Choosing Life”, co-organised by IYES Foundation with RPO "BRICS. World of Traditions", Moscow, Russia, was launched at the expanded press conference at the Indian International Centre, New Delhi, on December 12th, with the participation of DCM of the Embassy of Russia in India Roman Babushkin, the Trade Commissioner of Russia in India Alexander Rybas, the Head of the Russian House in New Delhi Oleg Osipov and Vice-Principal of Delhi Public School, Dwarka, Ms Priya Narayanan.

On December 13, 2022, the participants of the Samara delegation held presentations of companies from the Samara region and a series of bilateral talks at the premises of the Russian House in New Delhi, as part of a meeting with Indian businessmen representing about 40 companies in large associations and business associations, including the BRICS Chamber of Commerce and the Russian-Indian Business Association.

On December 14th, 2022 the program “BRICS People Choosing Life”co-organised by IYES Foundation with RPO "BRICS. World of Traditions", begins at the Russian House in Mumbai with the presentation of the Program and the Charity action “From Children to Children” featuring the exposition of 30 wonderful pictures by students of School No. 1409 of Moscow.

Finalizing the meeting, the paintings were granted to the Head of the Charity Fund for the Protection of Children from Slums “Indian Room” Ramisa Baigireeva. The charity action was welcomed by Indian students showing interest in developing further cooperation between youth public socially-oriented organizations of Russia and India.

The Center of Mahatma Gandhi and Leo Tolstoy in New Delhi has started its work, with the plan of events and projects being elaborated and the delegation exchange between the schools beginning. Thus, from May 17th to 22nd, 2023, a delegation from School, Dwarka, headed by Ms. Sunita Tanwar, Principal, will visit the Moscow state educational institution «School No. 1409», headed by Irina Ilyicheva.


During the visit on May 18th, 2023, the Moscow school will host the signing of the Treaty of Cooperation between the capital schools, as well as the opening ceremony of the cultural and educational exhibition «Leo Tolstoy and Mahatma Gandhi: a Unique Heritage» which will launch the creation of the Museum (Center) «Great BRICS Teachers» on the basis of the School No. 1409 so as to study, preserve and promote the ideas, life and activities of five giants of their time who left their moral teachings and precepts to the world.

On May 18th, 2023, in accordance with the plans of the Centre, at the initiative of the organization, the opening ceremony of the exhibition "Leo Tolstoy and Mahatma Gandhi: a Unique Heritage" took place in the State Budgetary Educational Institution of Moscow "School No.1409". Since 2010 it has been shown in 15 regions of Russia, as well as in India, Brazil and South Africa. The meeting was organized by School No.1409 and "BRICS. World of Traditions".

Panel discussion “Cultural practices of rural communities of BRICS+ countries” was held at V International Municipal Forum BRICS+ , co-hosted by the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.

The panel discussion was intended to promote productive dialogue and partnership between municipal communities of the BRICS+ countries, and study the unique experience of implementing cultural practices in rural areas.

Akil Mohammad, Founder and Chairperson of the International Youth Edu-Skills Foundation and Deputy Head of the “Russia-BRICS” project office for international Youth cooperation speak about the activities of the Foundation and Project Office.

During his address he stressed on the strengthening the informational exchange within the BRICS counties so that more and more young people can receive the information about the opportunities which exists for them within BRICS nations. He also mentioned about the common informational exchange platform for the BRICS youth which is expected to be launched by the Project office “Russia-BRICS” to unite youth organizations together.

He also invited youth, professionals and business community to join the Russian phase of international Social and Cultural Program “BRICS People Choosing Life” which will be hosted in 5 regions of Russia in 2024. IYES Foundation Co-organized the Indian phase of the program with the Regional Social Organisation "BRICS. World of Traditions", implemented in December 2022 in New Delhi, Mumbai and Pune, Republic of India.

The Strategic session “BRICS+: 2030: The image of the future of BRICS+ through the eyes of youth” was co-hosted by the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly at V International Municipal Forum BRICS+

BRICS+ is a unique, promising platform for multidisciplinary interaction. In connection with the expansion of the geography of the BRICS+ countries, it is necessary to solve large-scale tasks, in the implementation of which young people, who make up the majority of the population in the BRICS+ countries, play an important role.

Akil Mohammad, Founder and Chairman of the Public Organization International Youth Edu-Skills Foundation, Deputy Head of the Project Office for International Youth Cooperation “Russia-BRICS” during his address told about the two important projects which are the Foundation is planning to host in 2024 with their partners from Russia to strengthen the multilateral and bilateral ties within BRICS and providing a cultural exchange. The two projects includes Festival of dolls theatre of the BRICS nations and Education Tourism between India and Russia.
