𧬠First lab tour is happening today!
Get ready for an amazing visit to MIPTβs Research Center for Molecular Mechanisms of Aging and Age-Related Diseases β a place where science, health, and innovation come together.
π Whatβs so cool about it?
This center focuses on some of the most cutting-edge questions in biology: from how proteins work and how cells age, to designing new medicines and using bioinformatics to unlock the secrets of life.
π¬ Inside, youβll find labs working on:
π High-res microscopy
π Protein structures and drug design
𧬠Molecular genetics and bioinformatics
π₯οΈ Advanced modeling and simulations
π©βπ¬ Researchers here study Alzheimerβs and Parkinsonβs, develop tools for diagnosing and treating age-related diseases, and even explore how to control heart and brain cells with light!
π§ͺ Physics at the Heart of It All
The center is packed with physics! From studying molecular structures and X-ray scattering to advanced microscopy and computational modeling, physics is essential to understanding how cells work and how diseases develop. Itβs proof that the skills youβre learning can be used to solve real, important problems in health and medicine.
π See you in 20 minutes!

Dear participants and national team leaders,
We would like to inform you that this yearβs International Science Physics Olympiad (ISPhO) will be held exclusively online from June 21 to June 30, 2026.
This decision was made in order to ensure as wide and safe access to participation for school students from different countries as possible, given the high probability of unforeseen logistical difficulties due to the current global situation.
This year, we believe it is particularly important to focus on the following:
- maintaining the tradition of international cooperation in the natural sciences;
- providing equal opportunities for talented school students regardless of their location;
- ensuring a high standard of organization and objectivity in the evaluation of results.
- creating a comfortable environment for you to demonstrate your knowledge and skills in physics.
The Olympiad will retain all its key elements: theoretical and experimental rounds, a unified scoring system, and awards for the winners.
The online experimental round will be entirely devoted to computer modeling and data processing. Participants will be provided with software that simulates the operation of scientific equipment.
Since the competition will be held exclusively online, participation is completely free of charge.
We invite teams from all countries to join ISPhO and show their skills in this international intellectual competition!
We ask the heads of national physics teams to send an email to ispho@phystech.edu to receive further instructions.
Stay tuned for updates on our channel!
Sincerely,
The ISPhO Organizing Committee
