سلطان التارکین، غوث العالم، محبوب یزدانی، حضرت سلطان سید اوحد الدین مخدوم اشرف جہانگیر سمنانی رضی اللہ عنہ کی ولادت 708ھ یا 712ھ میں سمنان، ایران میں ہوئی۔ صرف 15 سال کی عمر میں سمنان کے بادشاہ بنے۔ 10 سال نہایت عدل و انصاف کے ساتھ حکومت فرما کر تخت شاہی کو خیرباد کہا اور ارض الہی کی سیر و سیاحت، صحبت اولیاء، حصول علوم و معرفت، عبادت و ریاضت، اور تبلیغ دین میں مشغول ہو گئے۔ آپ حافظ قرآن مع سبعہ قراءت، علوم عقلیہ و نقلیہ میں ماہر، مصنف کتب اور تاجدار روحانیت ہیں۔ سینکڑوں صفحات پر مشتمل آپ کے ملفوظات کا مجموعہ ”لطائف اشرفی“ رشد و ہدایت کا ذریعہ ہے۔ 28 محرم الحرام 801ھ، 808ھ یا 832ھ کو وصال فرمایا۔ آپ کا مزار مبارک کچھوچھہ شریف، ضلع امبیڈکر نگر، یو پی، ہندستان میں زیارت گاہ انام ہے۔ (حیات غوث العالم، خزیںۃ الاصفیاء)

Sultan al-Tarikeen, Ghous al-Alam, Mahboob-e-Yazdani, Sultan Sayyid Awhad al-Din Makhdoom Ashraf Jahangir Semnani (RadiyAllahu Anhu) was born in 708 or 712 AH in Semnan, Iran. He became the King of Semnan at the age of 15, ruled over Semnan with utmost justice for 10 years, and then relinquish his throne in pursuit of traveling, visiting the Awliya, searching for knowledge, meditation, asceticism, and preaching Islam. He was a Hafiz of the Quran with seven methods of its recitation, an expert in traditional and rational sciences, a prolific author, and a paramount figure in the world of spirituality. The collection of his sayings named, ‘‘Lataif-e-Ashrafi’’ is a source of guidance. He passed away on 28 Muharram 801, 808, or 832 AH.
