حِبُّ النبی، جلیل القدر صحابی رسول ﷺ، عظیم سپہ سالار، حضرت سیدنا ابو اسامہ زید بن حارثہ رضی الله عنہ وارضاہ ہجرت سے 48 سال قبل پیدا ہوئے۔ حضور اقدس ﷺ کے غلام تھے لیکن آپ نے ان کو آزاد فرما کر اپنا متبنیٰ (منہ بولا بیٹا) بنا لیا تھا۔ آپ رحمت عالم ﷺ کی شفقتوں اور محبتوں کے سائے میں پروان چڑھے۔ آپ کی ایک بڑی خاص خصوصیت یہ ہے کہ آپ کے سوا قرآن مجید میں دوسرے کسی صحابی کا نام مذکور نہیں (پارہ 22، سورۃ الاحزاب، آیت 37)۔ آزاد کردہ غلاموں میں سب سے پہلے آپ ہی نے اسلام قبول کیا۔ سات یا نو مرتبہ حضورِ اکرم ﷺ نے آپ کو امیرِ لشکر بنا کر روانہ فرمایا، اور ہر مرتبہ آپ نے کامیابی و کامرانی کا جھنڈا لہرایا۔ جنگ موتہ میں آپ تمام اسلامی افواج کے سپہ سالار تھے اور اسی جنگ میں جمادی الاولیٰ 8ھ میں کفار سے لڑتے ہوئے جام شہادت نوش فرمایا۔ مزار مبارک اردن کے شہر المزار میں مرکز انوار و تجلیات ہے۔ (طبقات ابن سعد، الاکمال، اسد الغابہ، دلائل النبوۃ)

Hibb-un-Nabi, Glorious Companion, Great Warrior, Sayyiduna Abu Usamah Zayd bin Harithah (RadiyAllahu Anhu wa Ardah) was born 48 years before the Hijrah. He was the slave of the beloved Prophet ﷺ but He ﷺ freed him and made him his adopted son. He was raised under the shade of Prophetic love and care. The most unique thing about him is that he is the only companion whose blessed name has been mentioned in the Holy Quran (Part 22, Surah Al-Ahzab, Verse 37). He is also the first among freed slaves who embraced Islam. The Noble Prophet ﷺ sent him as the commander of the Islamic army about 7 or 9 times, and every time he raised the flag of victory and glory. He was the commander of All Islamic forces in the battle of Mu’tah and embraced martyrdom in the same expedition in Jumad al-Awwal 8 AH.
