جلیل القدر تابعی، سجاد امت، اسیر کربلا، حضرت سیدنا امام زین العابدین ابو الحسن علی الاوسط بن حسین بن علی ہاشمی قرشی مدنی رضی اللہ تعالی عنہم اجمعین شعبان 38ھ میں مدینۂ منورہ میں پیدا ہوئے۔ آپ عظیم المناقب محدث، فقیہ، عابد، سخی، صاحب زہد و تقوی، اور سلسلہ عالیہ قادریہ برکاتیہ رضویہ کے چوتھے امام و شیخ طریقت ہیں۔ آپ خلفائے راشدین رضی الله تعالی عنهم کے عقیدت مند، علم دین کے بے حد شائق، اور شبہ والی چیزوں سے دامن بچانے والے تھے۔ آپ کی عادات میں صلۂ رحمی، سخاوت اور پوشیدہ صدقہ کرنا شامل تھا۔ ہر شب ایک ہزار رکعت نفل پڑھتے تھے۔ حسینی سادات کی نسل آپ رضی الله تعالی عنه سے ہی آگے بڑھی۔ 18 محرم الحرام یا 14 ربیع الاول 94ھ کو جام شہادت نوش فرمایا۔ مزار مبارک جنت البقیع شریف میں حضرت سیدنا امام حسن مجتبی رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ و ارضاہ کے پہلو میں ہے۔ (سیر اعلام النبلاء، تاریخ الخمیس، خزینۃ الاصفیاء، تذکرہ مشائخ قادریہ برکاتیہ رضویہ)

Illustrious Taabi’i, Sajjad of Ummah, Captive of Karbala, Sayyiduna Imam Zayn al-Aabideen Abul Hasan Ali al-Awsat bin al-Husayn bin Ali Hashimi Qurashi Madani (RadiyAllahu Anhum Ajma’een) was born in Madinah Munawwarah in Sha’ban 38 AH. He is a highly acclaimed hadith master, jurist, devout worshipper, extremely generous person, an embodiment of piety and asceticism, and the fourth Imam and Shaykh of the Qadiriyah Barakatiyah Ridawiyah Sufi Order. He would highly venerate the rightly guided caliphs, had a deep passion for religious knowledge, and would refrain from doubtful things. Among his habits were treating relatives kindly, generosity, and giving hidden charity. He used to offer 1000 rak’at nafl prayers every night. The lineage of Husayni descendants continued from him. He embraced martyrdom on 18 Muharram OR 14 Rabi’ al-Awwal 94 AH, and was laid to rest in al-Baqi’ cemetery next to Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba RadiyAllahu Anhu wa Ardah.
