شارح بخاری، صاحب مواہب لدنیہ، امام شہاب الدین ابو العباس احمد بن محمد قسطلانی شافعی رحمۃ اللہ تعالی علیہ کی ولادت 12 ذو القعدہ 851ھ کو مصر میں ہوئی۔ آپ تلمیذ امام ابن حجر عسقلانی، حافظ قرآن، ماہر فن قرأت، علم و فن میں حجت، ثقہ عالم دین، فقیہ وقت، جلیل القدر امام، حافظ الحدیث اور سند المحدثین تھے۔ آپ کی 25 تصانیف میں ’’المواهب اللدنيه‘‘ اور ’’ارشاد الساري في شرح صحيح البخاري‘‘ بہت مشہور ہیں۔ 7 محرم 923ھ شب جمعہ کو قاہرہ مصر میں وصال فرمایا۔ مزار شریف جامعہ ازہر کے قرب میں امام بدر الدین عینی کے مدرسہ میں ہے۔ (الضوء اللامع، شذرات الذهب، النور السافر)

Commentator of Sahih al-Bukhari, Author of Mawahib al-Ladunniyah, Imam Shihab al-Din Abu al-Abbas Ahmad bin Muhammad Qastallani Shafi’i (Alayhir Rahmah) was born on 12 Dhu al-Qa’dah 851 AH in Egypt. He was a student of Imam Ibn Hajar Asqalani, memorizer of the Holy Qur'an and expert in its recitation, authority in Islamic sciences, prominent scholar, great jurist of his time, glorious Imam, memorizer of hadith, and leader of Hadith experts. Among his 25 books, Al-Mawahib al-Ludunniyah and Irshad al-Sari are quite famous. He passed away on Friday night, 7th Muharram 923 AH in Cairo, Egypt. فخر خاندان قادریہ، حضرت مخدوم سید ابو عبد اللہ محمد غوث بندگی گیلانی حسنی حلبی اوچی قادری رحمۃ اللہ تعالی علیہ کی ولادت باسعادت 833ھ میں حلب شام میں ہوئی۔ آپ ولی کامل، جامع علوم عقلیہ و نقلیہ، فضائل حسبی و نسبی سے معمور، نعمائے ظاہری و باطنی سے پھرپور، کریم النفس، صاحب زہد و تقوی اور ہندستان میں خاندان گیلانیہ کے جد امجد تھے۔ حاکم سندھ اور شاہ ہند آپ کے عقیدت مند تھے۔ 7 محرم الحرام 923ھ بروز اتوار وصال فرمایا، مزار پر انوار اوچ شریف، ضلع بہاولپور، جنوبی پنجاب، پاکستان میں مرجع خلائق ہے۔ (خزینۃ الاصفیاء، شریف التواریخ، اخبار الاخیار)

Pride of the Qadiriyah Dynasty, Makhdoom Sayyid Abul Abdullah Muhammad Ghaus Bandagi Gilani Hasani Halabi Uchi Qadiri (Alayhir Rahmah) was born in 833 AH in Halab, Syria. He was an accomplished Wali, possessor of the knowledge related to reasoning (i.e. logic, philosophy, etc.) and Quran and Sunnah, embodiment of piety and asceticism, and the distinguished ancestor of the Gilani family in India. The Ruler of Sindh and Emperor of India held him devotionally reverend. He passed away on Sunday, 7th Muharram 923 AH.
