استاذ امام بخاری امام مسلم و امام ابو داود، حافظ الحدیث، حضرت امام حافظ ابو زکریا یحیی بن مَعِین بغدادی رحمۃ اللہ تعالی علیہ 158ھ بمطابق 775ء کو انبار کے قریب نقیا نامی گاؤں میں پیدا ہوئے۔ آپ جلیل القدر عالم دین، شیخ المحدثین اور اپنے ہاتھ سے 10 لاکھ احادیث مبارکہ تحریر کرنے کا اعزاز پانے والے تھے۔ بڑے بڑے علماء و محدثین نے آپ کو جرح و تعدیل کا امام، اسماء الرجال کا سب سے بڑا عالم، اور صحت حدیث کو پرکھنے کا بادشاہ کہا۔ علم دین کی طلب میں آپ نے اپنا کل سرمایہ تقریباً 10 لاکھ 50 ہزار درہم صرف کر ڈالا یہاں تک کہ جوتا تک نہ خرید پائے اور ننگے پیر چلتے تھے۔ ”تاریخ ابن معین“ آپ کی یادگار کتاب ہے۔ 23 ذو القعدہ 233ھ کو مدینۂ منورہ میں وصال فرمایا اور جس تخت مبارک پر حضور نبی مکرم نورِ مجسم ﷺ کو غسل دیا گیا تھا اسی پر آپ کو غسل دیا گیا۔ (تاریخ دمشق، تھذیب التھذیب، بستان المحدثین، وفیات الاعیان، الرحلۃ فی طلب الحدیث)

Teacher of Imam Bukhari Imam Muslim and Imam Abu Dawood, Hafiz al-Hadith, Imam Abu Zakariyya Yahya bin Ma’een Baghdadi (Alayhir Rahmah) was born in 158 AH (775 CE) in a village called Niqya near Anbar. He was an esteemed scholar, teacher of Hadith masters, and the one who had the honor of writing a million hadiths with his own hands. Great scholars and hadith experts have regarded him as the Imam of Jarh and Ta’deel, the greatest scholar of Asma’ ar-Rijal, and the king of examining the authenticity of hadith. In pursuit of sacred knowledge, he spent his entire wealth of about 1 million and 50 thousand dirhams so much so that he could not even buy a shoe and walked barefoot. ‘‘Tarikh Ibn Ma’een’’ is his memorable book. He passed away on 23 Dhu al-Qa’dah 233 AH in Madinah Munawwarah and was bathed on the blessed board on which the Beloved Prophet ﷺ was bathed. مشہور ولی کامل، زاہد کبیر، حضرت سیدنا ابو المغیث حسین بن منصور حلاج رحمۃ اللہ تعالی علیہ کی ولادت قصبہ طور بیضاء صوبہ فارس ایران میں ہوئی۔ آپ خواجہ عمرو بن عثمان مکی کے مرید، امام جنید بغدادی کے صحبت یافتہ، عالم دین، صاحب دیوان، صاحب ریاضات و کرامات، اور اکابر اہل حال اولیائے کرام سے ہیں۔ آپ نے اپنے جسم کو ٹخنوں سے گھٹنوں تک تیرہ جگہوں سے بیڑیوں میں جکڑ رکھا تھا اور اسی حالت میں وہ دن رات میں ایک ہزار رکعت نفل ادا کرتے تھے۔ 23 ذی القعدہ 309ھ بروز منگل بغداد عراق میں جام شہات نوش فرمایا۔ مزار شریف الکرامہ ہسپتال بغداد کے عقب میں واقع ہے۔ (تذکرۃ الاولیاء، مرآۃ الاسرار، مکاشفۃ القلوب، وفیات الاعیان)

The famous Wali, Paramount Ascetic, Sayyiduna Abu al-Mughis Husayn bin Mansoor al-Hallaj (Alayhir Rahmah) was born in Toor Bayda, Persia, Iran. He was a disciple of Khwajah Amr bin Usman Makki, companion of Imam Junayd al-Baghdadi, pious practicing scholar, poet, man of marvels, and among the prominent and highly acclaimed Awliya of his time. He kept his body in shackles from thirteen places from ankle to knee and in this condition, he would perform 1000 rak'ats of Nafl prayers a day and night. He was martyred on Tuesday, 23 Dhu al-Qa’dah 309 AH in Baghdad, Iraq. His blessed mausoleum is located behind Al-Karamah Hospital Baghdad.
