The book was published in 2018. The data used is from 2017. But I suppose that it is more or less relevant still. The only thing I didn’t get is where are another 650 million people😊 ? According to worldometer there were 7.65 billion people on earth in 2017, not 7. I guess they are hidden in the “~” sign🤷
Interesting book, by the way. It shows that overall humanity is doing good and live conditions of many people are still improving according to many metrics. Such as child mortality for example and access to food, water and electricity.

While I was doing a bit more research on that topic I came across gapminder website. Here you can see some statistics about global population, including the income level chart. Interestingly enough 13% of earth population was living below the poverty line in 2016. By 2024 it improved and became 11%. But I guess that recent world events may worsen this indicator. Also I noticed that they are using $2.5/day as a threshold instead of $2/day.
There is a NASA lauch of people to the moon soon.

About driving licence and retardmaxxing.
Just recently I discovered such an idea as "retardmaxxing". Which states that raw imperfect action is better than analysis paralysis. More detailed description on the screenshot.
And at the same time I got an opportunity to try it out. I went to Georgia with a simple mission to renew my expired Belarusian driving license to get a new Georgina one. But everything went wrong. Turned out that I cannot simply update an expired one and I have to take the exam. So I decided retardmax through that quest, because I knew that if I thought too much about it, it would be too painful to start. And it was painful indeed. It took me a flight cancellation, 2 extra weeks in Georgia, a lot of cash, and 3 failed attempts(1 on the driving site, 2 in the city). Plus I had to go 3 times to another city(Poti) from Tbilisi in order to do the exam, because the queue was the shortest there.
Overall that was a fun adventure which I would not choose if I knew how that would go in advance. But I also met some new people and old friends during my time there.
So it seems like already banal advice "never give up" and a new "retardmaxxing" one actually kind of works. I got the licence in the end!
